1979-061 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS; BEING ALL THAT LOT, TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND CONSISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 45 ACRES OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE COUNTY OF DENTON, STATE OF TEXAS AND BEING IN THE A GIBSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO 498, DENTON COUNTY, TEXA~, CLASSIFY- ING THE SAME AS SINGLE-FAMILY "SF-16" DISTRICT PROPERTY, AND DE- CLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the request for annexation was introduced at a re- gular meetlng of the Clty Councll of the City of Denton, Texas, on the petition of Robert Welch, and WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded , at a publlc hearing held for that purpose on June 26, 1979 for all ~nterested persons to state their v~ews and present evidence bearing upon the annexa- tlon provided by th~s ordlnance, and WHEREAS, thls ordinance has been published ~n full at least one t~me ~n the off~clal newspaper of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, prior to ~ts effective date, and after the public hearings, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I That the herelnafter described tract of land be, and the same is hereby annexed to the Clty of Denton, Texas, and the same ~s made hereby a part of sa~d C~ty and the land and the present and future inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of other c~tlzens of sa~d City and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of sa~d C~ty now ~n effect or which may here- after be enacted and the property s~tuated there~n shall be subject to and shall bear ~ts prorata part of the taxes levled by the C~ty The tract of land hereby annexed ls described as follows, to-w~t All that certaln 45 8 acre tract or parcel of land s~tuated ~n the A Gibson Survey, Abstract No 498, Denton County, Texas, ~ald tract belng a part of tract described in deed from Good F~nanc~al Corporation to John Maeckle, Trustee as recorded ~n Volume 660, Page 132 of the Deed Records of Denton County, Texas, sa~d tract being further described here~n by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING for the northeast corner of the tract being described here~n, sa~d point being the southeast corner of Forrestrldge Section I as reoorded in Volume 11, Pa~e 56 of the Plat Records of Denton County, Texas, THENCE south 00° 31' 40" west 1500 feet, more or less, wath the east lane of said Maeckle Tract to a poant which lies 110 feet south of the south lane of E1 Paseo Dr~ve, THENCE west 240 0 feet to the west line of proposed extension of Forrestr~dge Dr~ve, THENCE north 30 0 feet, more or less, w~th the west line of Forrestr~ge Drzve, THENCE west 1105 7 feet to the west lane of said Maeckle Tract, THENCE north 00° 07' 43" east with the ewst line of sa~d Maeckle Tract to the southwest corner of sa~ Forrestr~dge Section I, THANCE west 1356 18 feet w~th the west l~ne of Forrestrldge Sectzon I to the place of begannlng SECTION II The above described property is hereby classified as Sangle- Family "SF-16" Distract and shall so appear on the official zoning map of the City of Denton, whach map is hereby amended accordanqly SECTION III Th~s ordinance shall be effectave ammedlately upon its passage PASSED AND APPROVED thzs the 21st day of Auqust , A D 1979 ~~~ BILL NASH,'MAYOR ~ CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS ATTEST ~KS HOLT, CITY SECRETARY CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM BURT R SOLOMONS, ACTING CITY ATTORNEY, CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS
