1/2, ENTITLED "FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION", ARTICLE III, SECTION
10 1/2-5, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE ANO DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the Code of Ordinances of the Czty of Denton, Texas ~s
hereby amended by amending Chapter 10 1/2, Article III, Sectzon
10 1/2-5 to read as fellows
"Section lO 1/2-5
The areas of speczal flood hazard ~dent~fzed by the
Federal Insurance Administration on its Flood Insur-
ance Rate Map (FIRM) and ~ts Flood Boundary and
Floodway Map Community No 48-0194, dated August 1,
1979, and any revisions thereto are hereby adopted by
reference and declared to be a part of this Chapter"
SECTION II
That zf any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence,
clause, phrase, or word tn th~s ordinance, or applzcatzon
thereof to any person or circumstances zs held invalid by any
court of competent jurzsdlctzon, such holding shall not affect
the validity of the rematnzng portzons of this ordznance, and
the Czty Counczl of the Czty of Denton, Texas, hereby declares
zt would have enacted such rema~nzng portions despite any such
~nvalzdzty
SECTION III
That thzs ordinance shall become effectzve fourteen (14)
days after the date of zts passage and approval and the Czty
Secretary ~s hereby d~rected to cause the captzon of thzs
ordznance to be published twice in the Denton Record-Chronicle,
the official newspaper of the Czty of Denton, Texas, wzthzn ten
(lO) days of the date of its passage
