1979-046AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP
APPLIES TO LOT 13 2, BLOCK 178-J, AS SHOWN THIS DATE ON THE OFFICIAL
TAX MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted the
14th day of January, 1969, as an Appendmx to the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Denton, Texas, under provmsmons of Ordmnance No 69-1,
be, and the same ms hereby amended as follows-
All the hereinafter described property ms hereby removed
from the Agricultural "A" District as shown on said Zon-
ing Map, and all provisions of Ordmnance No 69-1, adopted
the 14th day of January, 1969, as amended, shall hereafter
apply to samd property as Commercmal "C" Dmstrmct mn the
same manner as other property located mn the Commercmal "C"
Dmstrlct,
Ail that certamn lot, tract or parcel of land lymng and be-
lng smtuated mn the City and County of Denton, State of Texas,
and being Lot 13.2, Block 178-J and bemng one acre of land
located on the south side of Unmvers~ty Drive, 600 feet west
of Loop 288 in the Clty of Denton, Texas
SECTION II
That the Clty Councml of the Clty of Denton, Texas hereby finds
that such change ms mn accordance with a comprehensmve plan for the
purpose of promoting the general welfare of the Cmty of Denton, Texas,
and wmth reasonable consideration, among other th~ngs for the character
of the district and for ~ts peculiar suitability or partmcular uses,
and w~th a view to conserving the value of the buildings, protecting
human lives, and encouraging the most approprmate uses of land for the
maximum benefit to the C~ty of Denton, Texas, and ~ts cltizens.
SECT qN
That this ordinance shall be an full force and effect ~mmed~ately
after mrs passage and approval, the required publzc hearings having
heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commmss~on and the Cmty
Council of the City of Denton, Texas, after gzv~ng due notmce thereof
