AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON~ TEXAS,
AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE
THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP
APPLIES TO CITY LOTS 8-15 AND CITY LOTS 16 AND l? OF BLOCK NO 165
AS SHOWN THIS DATE ON THE OFFICIAL TAX MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON,
TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION
That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted the
14th day of January, 1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Denton, Texas, under provisions of Ordinance No 69-1,
be, and the same ~s hereby amended as follows
All the hereinafter described property ~s hereby removed from
the Single-Family "SF-7" Distrxct as shown on sa~d Zonxng Map, and
all provisions of Ordxnanee No 69-1, adopted the 14th day of January,
1969, as amended, shall hereafter apply to said property as Commercial
"C" Dlstrlct in the same manner as other property located in the Com-
mercial "C" District,
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being
s~tuated in the City and County of Denton, State of Texas, and being
835 acre of land located generally on the north side of East McK~nney
Street, west of Bradshaw Th~s tract parallels a port,on of Pecan
Creek on the west, C~ty Lots 16 and 17, Block 165 on the south, and
C~ty Lots S-15, Block 165 on the east
SECTION II
That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas hereby
f~nds that such change is ~n accordance w~th a comprehensive plan
for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the C~ty of
Denton, Texas, and w~th reasonable consideration, among other th~ngs
for the character of the distr~ct and for ~ts peculiar suitability
or particular uses, and with a v~ew to conserving the value of the
buildings, protecting human l~ves, and encouraging the most appro-
priate uses of land for the maximum benefit to the C~ty of Denton,
Texas, and its c~tlzens
SECTION III
That this ordxnanee shall be in full force and effect ~mmedx-
ately after its passage and approval, the required public hearings
having heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission
and the City Council of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, after g~v~ng due
notice thereof
