AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING NAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
AS SANE WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
TIlE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID NAP
APPLIES TO LOT 4-A-l, BLOCK 276E AS SHOWN THIS DATE ON THE OFFICIAL
TAX MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DES-
CRIBED THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted the
14th day of January, 1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Denton, Texas, under provisions of Ordinance No 69-1,
be, and the same ~s hereby amended as follows
Ail the hereinafter described property is hereby removed
from the General Retail "GR" Dlstr~ct as shown on sa~d
Zoning Map, and all provisions of Ordinance No 69-1,
adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as amended, shall
hereafter apply to sa~d property as Commercial "C" Dis-
trict ~n the same manner as other property located ~n
the Commercial "C" District,
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and
being situated in the City and County of Denton, State
of Texas, and being Lot 4-A-l, Block 276E and being
located on the north side of 1-35E, beginning 500 feet
east of the intersection of 1-35 and Mayh~ll Road and
containing approximately 63 acre of land, more or less
SECTION II
That the C~ty Council of the City of Denton, Texa~ hereby
f~nds that such change is in accordance w~th a comprehensive plan
for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the C~ty of
Denton, Texas, and w~th reasonable consideration, among other th~ngs
for the character of the dzstr~ct and for ~ts peculiar suitability
or particular uses, and with a v~ew to conserving the value of the
buildings, protecting human lives, and encouraging the most appro-
prIate uses of land for the maximum benefit to the C~ty of Denton,
Texas, and its citizens
SECTION III
That th~s ordinance shall be ~n full force and effect ~mmedl-
ately after ~ts passage and approval, the required public hearings
having heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission
and the C~ty Council of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, after giving due
not~ce thereof
