Notice of Meeting for Public Input on the New Tennis Center
North Lakes Recreation Center, Aug. 9 at 6 p.m.
DENTON, TX,Aug. 1, 2018—The City of Denton Parks and Recreation Department invites
interested members of the community to attend a public meeting to provide input on the concept
plan for development of a new tennis center at North Lakes Park. The meeting will begin at
6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 9 in Room B at North Lakes Recreation Center.
Gary Packan, Parks and Recreation Director, and staff will lead the meeting and present a
concept plan that consists of 12 full-size tennis courts, a pro shop, shade structures, parking, a
restroom, and gathering space. Funding for the tennis center was allocated in the 2014 Capital
Improvement Program for$3.6 million.
