ORDINANCE CANVASSING BOND ELE ON RETURNS
THE STATE OF TEXAS
COUNTY OF DENTON
CITY OF DENTON
WHEREAS, the Caty Councal of said City ordered an electron
to be held an saad Caty on DECEMBER 5, 1978, on the PROPOSITION
hereinafter stated, and
WHEREAS, sald Clty Councal has anvestagated all matters
pertaanlng to saad electron, ancludang the ordering, gav~ng
notice, offacers, holdang, and making returns of said electron,
and
WHEREAS, the electron offacers who held sa~d elect~on have
duly made the returns of the result thereof, and saad returns
have been duly dellvered to thas C~ty Council, and
WHEREAS, it as hereby offlcaally found and determined that
a case of emergency or urgent publac necessity exists which re-
quares the holdang of the meetlng at which th~s ordanance ~s
passed, such emergency or urgent public necessaty beang that the
proceeds from the sale of the proposed bonds are required as soon
as posslble and wathout delay for necessary and urgently needed
publac lmprovements, and that saad meeting was open to the public,
and public notice of the tame, place, and purpose of said meeting
was gaven, all as requared by Vernon's Ann Clv St Artacle
6252-17
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
1 That the C~ty Council officially f~nds and determlnes
that sa~d electlon was duly ordered, that proper not~ce of said
election was duly gaven, that proper electron officers were duly
appoanted praor to saad electlon, that saad electron was duly held
that due returns of the result of said elect~on have been made and
delavered, and that the Caty Council has duly canvassed saad re-
turns, all in accordance wath law and the Ordinance calling sa~d
bond electron
2 That the Caty Councal offac~ally finds and determanes
that the following votes were cast at said election, on the sub-
matted PROPOSITION, by the resadent, qual~faed electors of said
C~ty who voted at the electron

~ VOTES AGAINST ) OF FINE ARTS CENTER BONDS
3 That the Caty Councat offacaally fands, determlnes, and
declares the result of saad electron to be that the PROPOSITION
so submitted has not recelved a favorable majority vote an all
respects and has not carraed, and that the bonds voted thereunder
may not be ~ssued an accordance with law

as follows

at the Mu~ Building (C~ty Hall), and the roll was called
of,the duly constituted offlcers and members of sa~d Clty

and all of sa~d persons were present, except the following

the following was transacted at sa~d Meeting a written

sa~d Ordinance be passed, and, after due d~scuss~on, sa~d mo-
tion, carrying w~th ~t the passage of sa~d Ordlnance, prevail-
ed and carried by the following vote

2 That a true, full, and correct copy of the aforesaid
Ordinance passed at the Meeting described ~n the above and fore-
going paragraph ~s a~tached to and follows thls Certificate,
that sald Ordinance has been duly recorded ~n sa~d C~ty Council's
m~nutes of sa~d Meeting, that the above and foregoing paragraph
· s a true, full, and correct excerpt from sa~d C~ty Council's
m~nutes of sa~d Meeting pertaining to the passage of said Ordi-
nance, that the persons named ~n the above and foregoing para-
graph are the duly chosen, quallf~ed, and acting officers and
members of sa~d C~ty Council as lndlcated there~n, that each of
the officers and members of sa~d Clty Council was duly and suffl-
c~ently notified officially and personally, ~n advance, of the
tl~e, place, and purpose of the aforesaid Meeting, and that sa~d
Ordinance would be lntroduced and consldered for passage at sa~d
Meeting, and each of sald officers and members consented, ~n ad-

approves, the aforesaid Ordinance, that the Mayor and the C~ty
Secretary of sa~d City have duly s~gned sa~d Ordinance, and
that the Mayor and the C~ty Secretary of sald C~ty hereby de-
clare that their s~gn~ng of th~s Certificate shall constitute
the s~gn~ng of the attached and following copy of sa~d Ordinance
for all purposes

and the Bond Attorneys of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, hereby cer-
tify that we prepared and approved as to legality the attached
and following Ordinance prior to ~ts passage as aforesaid
Bond Attorneys
