AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS FIXING AND DETERMING
THE GENERAL SERVICE RATE TO BE CHARGED FOR SALES OF ELECTRICITY
TO RESIDENITAL~ COMMERCIAL AND SECURING LIGHT CONSUMERS WITHIN
THE CITY LIMITS OF DENTON, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING
FOR THE MANNER IN WHICH SUCH RATE MAY BE CHANGED, ADJUSTED AND
AMENDED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SEqTION I.
Effective with the first electrlc utility service statements
rendered from and after the effective date of the ORDER of the
Public Utility Commission of the State of Texas which is the 1st
day of February, 1979, the maximum general service rate for sales
of electricity rendered to res~dentlal, commercial and search l~ght
consumers w~th~n the C1ty Llm~ts of Denton by Denton County Electric
Cooperative, Inc , 1ts successors and assigns, ~s hereby f~xed and
determined 1n accordance w~th the rates and charges set out in the
tariff filed w~th the City of Denton and the Public Ut~llty Commis-
sion and which ~s attached hereto and 1ncorporated herein
SECTION II
The rate set forth ~n Sectlon I may be changed and amended by
e~ther the C~ty or Company furnishing electrlc~ty ~n the manner
provided by law Service hereunder is subject to the orders of
regulatory bodies having 3ur~sdlctlon, and to the Company's Rules
and Regulations currently on f~le in the Company's off~ce
SECTION III
It ls hereby found and determined that the meeting at which
th~s ordinance was passed was open to the public, as required by
Texas Law, and that advance not~ce of the tlme, place and purpose
of sa~d meeting was g~ven

MINIMUM CHARGE Mlnmmum monthly charge shall be $10 00 or

any adjustment charge and tax as outlined below or per
contract.
SECTION 4 SHEET 3 C
PRIMARY SERVICE Minimum to be established by Contract If service is
furnished at the Cooperatlve's primary distribution voltage,
the CooperatiVe does not provide transformation and the billing
demand exceeds 300 KW a credit of ten cents per KW demand will
be allowed The Cooperative may meter at secondary voltage
and ad0ust the demand and energy charges by adding the estimated
transformer losses
POWER FACTOR ADJUSTMENT Demand charges may be ad0usted for all consumers
with 500 KW or more of demand with actual power factors lower
than 90 percent The bllllng demand w~ll be computed by mult~ply-
lng the actual demand of the current month by the product of 90
percent power factor d~vlded by the actual power factor
FUE~ ADJUSTMENT CHARGE The above energy charges may be ad0ustsd by an
amount per KWH derived by dlvld~ng the most recent fuel adjust-
ment charge from our power suppller by the number of KWH sold for
the corresponding period
POWER COST ADJUSTMENT Ths above energy charges may be ad0usted by an
'amount per KWH derived by dlwdlng the ~ncrease in purchased
power cost from the Cooperat~vs's power supplier as a result of
increase approved by the Public Utlllty Commission of Texas and/or
the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission by the total KWH sales by
Denton County Electric Cooperative for the year used xn the

TAXES Any pressnt or future tax levied or adjusted w~ll be applied to the
