TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BEING ALL THAT LOT, TRACT OR PARCEL
OF LAND CONSISTING OF 5 189 ACRES IN TRACT ONE AND 1 337 ACRES IN
TRACT TWO LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE COUNTY OF DENTON, STATE
OF TEXAS AND BEING IN THE S. MCCRACKEN SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO 817,
DENTON COUNTY, TEXA~, CLASSIFYING THE SAME AS SINGLE-FAMILY "SF-7"
FOR TRACT ONE AND TWO-FAMILY "2-F" FOR TRACT TWO DISTRICT PROPERTY;
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the request for annexation was Introduced at a re-
gular meeting of the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
on the petition of C A Glnnlngs, and
WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a public hearing
held for that purpose on October 3, 1978 for all interested per-
sons to state their views and present evidence bearing upon the
annexation provided by this ordinance, and
WHEREAS, this ordinance has been published an full at least
one time an the official newspaper of the C~ty of Denton, Texas,
prior to its effective date, and after the public hearings,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I.
That the hereinafter described tracts of land be, and the
same are hereby annexed to the City of Denton, Texas, and the same
Ks made hereby a part of said City and the land and the present
and future inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights
and privileges of other citizens of said City and shall be bound
by the acts and ordinances of said City now an effect or which may
hereafter be enacted and the property s~tuated therein shall be
subject to and shall bear its pro-rata part of the taxes levied
by the City The tracts of land hereby annexed are described as
follows, to-wit TRACT ONE
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being
situated an the S McCracken Survey, Abstract No 817, being
a part of two tracts of land, Tract One being conveyed from
W E williams, et ux, to J. L Glnnlngs and C A Glnnlngs
by deed dated January 8, 1969 and recorded in Volume 582,
Page 316, Deed Records of Denton County, Texas, Tract Two
being conveyed from W E williams, et ux to J L Glnnlngs
and C A Glnnlngs by deed dated January 9, 1970 and recorded
an Volume 596, Page 696, Deed Records of Denton County, Texas,
and being more particularly described as follows
COMMENCING at the northwest corner of Block 14, Lot 9, Section 4
of Royal Acres Addltlon to the Clty of Denton, said point beang
an the east right of way of Stuart Road;
THENCE north 01° 30' 00" east along the east right of way of Stuart
Road a distance of 258 02 feet to a point beang in the centerllne
of the 65 foot raght of way of Hercules Lane,
THENCE south 88° 55' east along the centerl~ne of Hercules Lane 170
feet to the poant of begannang,
THENCE north 01° 30' 00" east a d~stance of 5 5 feet,
THENCE north 01° 23' 00" east a distance of 337 00 feet;
THENCE south 88~ 55' 00" east a dastance of 660 00 feet,

ated in the S McCracken Survey, Abstract No 817, beang a part of
two tracts of land, Tract One beang conveyed from W E Walllams,
et ux to J L Gannangs and C A Gannangs by deed dated January
8, 1969 and recorded an Volt, me 582, Page 216, Deed Records of Denton
County, Texas, Tract Two being conveyed from W E Will.ams, et ux
to J L. G~nnangs and C A Gannlngs by deed dated January 9, 1970
and recorded ~n Volume 596, Page 696, Deed Records of Denton County,
Texas and being more partacularly descrabed as follows-

The above described property in Tract One as hereby classlfaed
as Sangle-Famaly "SF-7" Dastract and the property descrabed an Tract
Two as hereby classified as Two-Family "2-F" Dlstr~ct and shall so

SECTION III
Th~s ordinance shall be effective lmmedlately upon its passage
