AN ORDINANCE REMOVING PARKING ON CERTAIN PORTIONS OF MULBERRY
STREET, AND LOCUST STREET, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, PRO-
VIDING A PENALTY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SEQTION I
(a) That the north side of Mulberry Street from Cedar
Street to 250 feet east of Carroll Boulevard shall not be used for
the parking of vehicles or in any manner obstructed at any time,
and the same shall be so posted by the proper authormtles of the
Cmty of Denton, Texas
(b) That the east smde of Locust Street from Sherman Drive to
Peach Street shall not be used for the parking of vehmcles or mn
any manner obstructed at any tmme, and the same shall be so posted
by the proper authorities of the City of Denton, Texas
SECTION II
That if any sectmon, subsectmon, paragraph, sentence, clause,
phrase or word mn this ordinance, or application thereof to any
person or circumstances ms held mnvalld by any court of competent
jurisdmction, such holding shall not affect the valmdity of the
remaining portions of thms ordinance, and the City Councml of the
City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares mt would have enacted such
remamning portions despite any such mnvalmdlty
SECTION III
That Section 1-5 of the Code of Ordinances of the Cmty of
Denton is incorporated into the ordinance as if set out in full
herein, and the penalty by fmne not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars
is applicable hereto, and it is hereby declared unlawful to park
any vehicle on any portmon of the above descrmbed streets as is
posted or marked as a "No Parking Zone"
SECTION IV
That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen days from
the date of its passage, and the City Secretary is hereby directed
to cause the caption of this ordinance to be publmshed twice in the
Denton Record-Chronicle, the official newspaper of the City of
Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of ~ts passage
