AN ORDINANCE A~NDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID YAP
APPLIES TO LOTS 0, ?, 7 1, AND 8, BLOCK NO 3003, AS SHOWN THIS
DATE ON THE OFFICIAL TAX MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCBIBED THEREIN, AND DECL~ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF TH~ CITY OF DENON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted the
14th day of January, 1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Denton, Texas, under provisions of Ordinance No 69-1,
be, and the same is hereby amended as follows
Ail the hereinafter described property is hereby removed
from the Slngle-F~lly "SF-7" Dmstr~et as shown on said
Zoning Map, and all provisions of Ordinance No 69-1,
adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as amended, shall
hereafter apply to said property as General Retail "GR"
D~strlct in the same manner as other property located in
the General Retail "GR" Dlstr~ct,
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and
being situated in the C~ty and County of Denton, State
of Texas, and being Lots 6, 7, 7 I and 8, Block No 3003,
and comprising approximately 2 acres of land, more or
less, and being located ~n the southern half of the block
bounded by Avenue E and D, Eagle Drive, and Interstate
35E Service Road in the City of Denton, Texas
SECTION II
That the City Council of the C~ty of Denton, Texas hereby
f~nds that such change ~s in accordance with a comprehensive plan
for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the C~ty of
Denton, Texas, and with reasonable consideration, ~ong other things
for the character of the d~strlct and for ~ts peculiar suitability
or particular uses, and w~th a v~ew to conserving the value of the
bu$1d~ngs, protecting human l~ves, and encouraging the most appro-
priate uses of land for the maximum benefit to the Cxty of Denton,
Texas, and lts citizens
SECTION III
That th~s ordinance shall be in full force and effect immedi-
ately after its passage and approval, the required public he~ngs
having heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission
and the C~ty Council of the City of Denton, Texas, after g~vlng due
not~ce thereof
