AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF A PORTION OF JAMES STREET TO
COUNTRY CLUB ROAD, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND DECLARING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HERFBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
The Cmty Council hereby fmnds and determmnes that the public
convenience would be best served if James Street (Farm-to-Market
Road 1830) between the intersection with Fort Worth Drzve south to
the cmty lzmits is renamed Therefore, James Street, now existing
between the intersectzon wmth Fort Worth Drmve south to the cmty
lzmzts be now and hereafter known as Country Club Road and such
name ms hereby changed and so designated
SECTION II
That zf any sectmon, subsectzon, paragraph, sentence, clause,
phrase or word in this ordznance, or applzcation thereof to any
person or circumstances is held invalid by any court of competent
3urzsdmction, such holdzng shall not affect the valzdlty of the
remaznlng portmons of this ordinance, and the Czty Counczl of the
Cmty of Denton, Texas, hereby declares mt would have enacted such
remazning portions despmte any such mnvalmdzty
SECTION III
That thzs ordinance shall become effectzve fourteen (14) days
from the date of its passage, and the Czty Secretary zs hereby
dmrected to cause the caption of thms ordmnance to be publzshed
twmce zn the Denton Record-Chronmcle, the offzczal newspaper of
the Czty of Denton, Texas, withmn ten (10) days of the date of zts
passage
