1976-060AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, ARTICLE III "MASTER AND JOURNEY-
MAN ELECTRICIAN" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON,
BY ALLOWING A TEMPORARY WORK PERMIT, PROVIDING A PENALTY, AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
PART I
That Chapter 9 "EIectrlcal Code", Article III "Master and
Journeyman Electrician" of the Code of Ordinances of the C~ty
of Denton, Texas ~s hereby amended by adding a second paragraph
to Section 9-29 L~cense - Re~u~red which shall read as follows
"A temporary work permit may be issued for a 3ourneyman
electrician which w~ll be valid only until the next
Denton electrical examination ~s g~ven In order to
quallfy for the temporary permit, the applicant must
be sponsored by a master electrician having a current
Denton lleense and a permlt fee of $2 00 must be pa~d"
PART II
A~y person who violates any provision of th~s ordinance shall
be deemed guilty of a m~sdemeanor, and, upon conv~ctlon, shall be
p~n~shed by a f~ne not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200 00)
Each day such a v~olat~on shall continue or be permitted, shall be
treated as a separate offense
PART III
That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days
from the date of lts passage, and the C~ty Secretary ~s hereby
directed to cause the caption of th~s ordinance to be published
twice ~n the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official newspaper of the
C~ty of Denton, Texas, w~th~n ten (10) days of the date of ~ts pass-
age
