1976-040 NO AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTONt TEXAS, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO LOT NO 25, CITY BLOCK NO 231, AS SHOWN THIS DATE ON THE OFFICIAL TAX MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PAR- TICULARLY DESCRIBED THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordinances of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, under provisions of Ordinance No 69-1, be, and the same ~s hereby amended as follows All the hereinafter described property is hereby removed from the "O" Office District as shown on said Zoning Map, and all provisions of Ordinance No 69-1, adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as amended, shall hereafter apply to said property as "C" Commercial D~strlct in the same manner as other property located ~n the "C" Commer- cial D~strlct, All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being s~tuated in the C~ty and County of Denton, State of Texas, and being Lot No 25, Block No 231 and also known as being situated north of Dallas Dr~ve and west of Cook Street in the City of Denton, Texas SECTION II That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas hereby f~nds that such change ~s ~n accordance with a comprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, and with reasonable consideration, among other th~ngs for the character of the dlstrlct and for ~ts peculiar suitability or particular uses, and with a view to conserving the value of the buildings, protecting h~man llves, and encouraging the most appro- priate uses of land for the maxlm~m benefit to the C~ty of Denton, Texas, and its citizens SECTION III That this ordinance shall be an full force and effect ~mmed~- ately after its passage and approval, the required public hearings hav~ng heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission and the C~ty Council of the City of Denton, Texas, after g~vlng due notYce thereof PASSED and APPROVED Thls the 7th day of September, A D 1976 CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS ATTEST ~ BO~KS~TY SECRETARY CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS APPROVED AS TO LEGAL FORM PAUL C ISHAM, CITY ATTORNEY CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS
