AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP
APPLIES TO LOT NO 3, CITY BLOCK NO 416 AS SHOWN THIS DATE ON THE
OFFICIAL TAX MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY
DESCRIBED THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the Zoning Map of the Clty of Denton, Texas, adopted the
14th day of January, 1969, as an Appendlx to the Code of Ordlnances
of the Clty of Denton, Texas, under provisions of Ordinance No 69-1,
be, and the same ~s hereby amended as follows
Ail the hereinafter described property ~s hereby removed
from the "SF-7" Single Fatally District as shown on said
Zoning Map, and all provls~ons of Ordinance No 69-1,
adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as amended, shall
hereafter apply to sa~d property as "GR" General Retail
D~str~ct ~n the same manner as other property located in
the "GR" General Retail D~str~ct,
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and
being s~tuated ~n the C~ty and County of Denton, State
of Texas, and being Lot No 3, City Block No 416 located
south, approximately three lots from the ~ntersectlon of
North Elm and Orr Street along the west s~de of Elm
SECTION II
That the Clty Council of the City of Denton, Texas hereby
f~nds that such change ~s ~n accordance w~th a comprehensive plan
for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the City of
Denton, Texas, and with reasonable consideration, among other thlngs
for the character of the d~str~ot and for its peculiar suitability
or particular uses, and w~th a v~ew to conserving the value of the
buildings, protecting human l~ves, and encouraging the most appro-
priate uses of land for the maximum benefit to the C~ty of Denton,
Texas, and its citizens
SECTION III
That this ordinance shall be ~n full force and effect immedi-
ately after its passage and approval, the required public hearings
having heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission
and the Clty Council of the City of Denton, Texas, after g~vtng due
not~ce thereof
