,TURN FOR NORTHBOUND TRAFFIC ON BELL AVENUE AT ITS INTERSECTION
IWITH SHERMAN DRIVE, PROVIDING A PENALTY, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY

WHEREAS, in the interest of safety for the vehzcular and
ipedestrzan traffzc in the City of Denton it desirable

, zntersectzon with Sherman Drzve
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
ICITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, THAT
~ PART I
A "NO LEFT TURN" szgn(s) shall be installed at the inter-
sectzon of Bell Avenue and Sherman Drzve for northbound traffic
on Bell Avenue, and it shall be illegal to make such a turn The
City agrees to enforce all regulatzons as may be necessary for
proper installation of sign(s), and shall mazntaln the szgn(s) zn
a satzsfactory manner
PART II
Any person who violates any provlszon of thzs ordinance shall
Jibe guzlty of a misdemeanor punzshable by a fzne of not less than
~One Dollar nor more than Two Hundred Dollars at the dlscretzon of
the Court having 3urisdzctlon Each and every vzolatzon of the
,provzsions of thzs ordznance shall constztute a separate offense
~and each day of such violatzon shall constitute a separate offense
PART III
That if any section, subsectzon, paragraph, sentence, clause,
~phrase or word zn this ordinance, or applzcatlon thereof to any
Iperson or czrcumstances zs held lnvalzd by any court of competent
Jurisdictzon, such holdzng shall not affect the valzdzty of the
remaznzng portzons of thzs ordznance, and the Czty Counczl of the
Czty of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it would have enacted such
remainzng portions despite any such invalzd~ty
PART IV
That thzs ordznance shall become effectzve fourteen (14) days
from the date of zts passage, and the Czty Secretary zs hereby
directed to cause the caption of this ordznance to be publzshed
twice zn the Denton Record-Chronzcle, the offzczal newspaper of '
~he City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of
its passage
