AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING TWO HOUR PARKING IN ALL MUNICIPAL BUILD-
ING PARKING LOTS, PROVIDING A PENALTY, PROVIDING A SFVERABILITY
CLAUSE, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That all Muntczpal Buildzng parkmng lots shall be restrmcted
to no more than two (2) contmnuous hours between the hours of
8 00 A M and 5 00 P M , Monday through Frmday, and the same shall
be so posted by the proper authormtmes The Czty Manager ms here-
by given the authority to issue temporary parking permmts to allow
parkmng in excess of two (2) hours, and to desmgnate reserved park-
mng spaces mn the parking lots
SECTION II
That Sectzon 1-5 of the Code of Ordmnances of the Cmty of
Denton is zncorporated into the ordmnance as if set out in full
herezn, and the penalty by fmne not to exceed Two Hundred ($200 00)
Dollars ms applmcable hereto, and it is hereby declared unlawful to
park any vehmcle in excess of two contmnuous hours between the hours
of 8 00 A M and 5 00 P M , Monday through Frmday, on such Munmcipal
Bumldlng parking lots
SECTION Il!.
That if any sectmon, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause,
phrase or word in th~s ordmnance, or applmcatmon thereof to any per-
son or circumstances ms held mnval~d by any court of competent 3ur-
msdlction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the re-
matnmng portions of thms ordinance, and the Cmty Councml of the Cmty
of Denton, Texas, hereby declares mt would have enacted such remamn-
mng portions despite any such invalidmty
SECTION IV
That this ordinance shall become effectmve fourteen (14) days
from the date of mrs passage, and the City Secretary ms hereby
dzrected to cause the captzon of thzs ordznance to be publzshed
twzce zn the Denton Record-Chronicle, the offzczal newspaper of
the Czty of Denton, Texas, wzthzn ten (10) days of the date of
· ts passage

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR THE
REMOVAL OF THE TWO HOUR TIME LIMIT ON PARKING FOR THE EAST PARKING
LOT AT ICITY HALL WHICH IS ADJACENT TO OAKLAND STREET, PROVIDING A
SEVERABILIT¥ CLAUSE, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE cITY COUNCIL OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
~ That the east parking lot in front of the city Hall
building located at 215 East McKlnney Street and adjacent to
Oakland Street shall no longer have a two hour parking time limit
h.~.~?ONTT~ To the extent that this ordinance is in conflict
wit No 76-18, this ordinance supersedes the previous
ordinance
~ That if any section, subsection, paragraph,
sentence, clause, phrase or word in this ordinance, or application
thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid by any court
of competent Jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the
validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, and the City
Council of the city of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it would have
enacted such remaining portions despite any such invalidity
