AN ORDINANCE REMOVING PARKING ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SCHMITZ STREET
BETWEEN VINE STREET AND FRAME STREET AND THE WEST SIDE OF VINE
STREET BETWEEN SCHMITZ STREET AND TEXAS STREET, PROVIDING A PEN-
ALTY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the south side of Schmmtz Street between Vine Street and
Frame Street and the west side of Vine Street between Schmltz
Street and Texas Street shall not be used for the parking of ve-
hicles or in any manner obstructed at any time, and the same shall
be so posted by the proper authorities of the C~ty of Denton
SECTION III
That Section 1-5 of the Code of the City of Denton is mncor-
porated into the ordmnanoe as if set out in full herein, and the
penalty by fine not to exceed Two Hundred ($200 00) Dollars ms
applmcable hereto, and it is hereby declared unlawful to park any
vehmcle on such portion of the south side of Schmztz Street be-
tween Vine Street and Frame Street and the west smde of Vine
Street between Schmltz Street and Texas Street as is posted or
marked as a "No Parking Zone"
SECTION IV
That if any sectzon, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause,
phrase or word in th~s ordinance, or application thereof to any
person or circumstances is held mnvalmd by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of th~s ordinance, and the Cmty Council of the
City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares mt would have enacted such
remaining portions despite any such lnvalldmty
SECTION V
That th~s ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days
from the date of its passage, and the City Secretary ms hereby
directed to cause the caption of thms ordinance to be published
twice an the Denton Record-Chronicle, the official newspaper of
the C~ty of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of
~ts passage

AUSTIN STREET TO 160 FEET EAST OF AUSTIN STREET, PROVIDING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, PROVIDING A PENALTY NOT TO
EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I. When signs or marl~ngs are In place gavmg notice thereof, no person shall

A On west side of Bolivar Street from its intersection with E Umversaty Drive to its
anterseetaon with Pearl Street (Repealing that port~on of Ordinance No 54-3 in conflict

B On the east side of Austin from its intersection with Oakland Avenue to its
~ntersectaon with E Parkway (Repeahng that pomon of Ordinance No 54-31 in conflmt
herewith)
C On Frame Street from its ~ntersection with Grove to ~ts ~ntersect~on with Schm~tz
and on the East Side of Frame Street from its intersection with Schm~tz to ~ts intersection
with Mmgo (Repealing that portmn of Ordinance No 82 64 in conflict herewith)
D On the south side of Schm~tz from its intersection with Bell Avenue to its
intersection with Mmgo (Repealing that port, on of Ordinance Nos 76-17 and 82-65 in
conflict horewith)
E On the west s~de of Vine from ~ts intersection with Grove Street to its intersection
w~th Texas, on the east sade of Vine from its intersection with Grove Street to its
mtersectmn with College and on the east s~de of Vine from ars intersection with Texas to

SECTION II Repealing the designation on the south side of Oakland Street from ItS
intersection with Austin Street to 160 feet east of Austin Street as Angle Parlang of Motor
Vehicles (Repealing that portion of Ordinance No 89 157 in conflict herewith)
SECTION III The provisions of Section I prohibatmg the parking of vehicles shall apply
at all times to the designated portion of the above named street or streets except when it is
necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the direction
of a police officer or official traffic control device
SECTION IV That all provisions of the ordinances of the City of Denton in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed and all other provisions of the ordinances of
the City of Denton, not in conflict wllh the provlslons of this ordinance, shall remain in full force
and effect
SECTION V That if any provision of this ordinance or application thereof to any person
or circumstance is held invalid, such lnvahdlty shall not affect the other prowslons or
applications, and to this end the provmons of this ordinance are severable
SECTION VI Any person adjudged guilty of parking a vehicle in violation of this
ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by a fine not to exceed Two Hundred
Dollars ($200 00)
SECTION VII That this ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14) days from the
date of ats passage, and the City Secretary is hereby directed to cause the caption of this
ordinance to be published twice in the Denton Record-Chromcle, the official newspaper of the
City of Denton, Texas, within ten (10) days of the date of its passage
