1974-036 NO AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING TRACTS OF LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, THE DESCRIBED TRACTS OF LAND BEING THE LOTS, TRACTS OR PARCELS OF LAND CONSISTING OF 931 5 ACRES ATTACHED HERETO AND DESCRIBED HEREIN LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE COUNTY OF DENTON,STATE OF TEXAS MORE PARTICU- LARLY DESCRIBED IN E~t{IBITS 1-5 ATTACHED HERETO, CLASSIFYING THE SAME AS "A" AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT PROPERTY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the request for annexation was ~ntroduced at a regular meeting of the C~ty Council of the C~ty of Denton, Texas on the petition of the Planning Department of the Czty of Denton, Texas, and WHEREAS, an opportunmty was afforded, at a public hearing held for that purpose on July 2, 1974, for all interested per- sons to state their views and present evidence bearing upon the annexation provided by this ordmnance, and WHEREAS, this ordinance has been published in full at least one time ~n the official newspaper of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, prior to ~ts effective date, and after the publmc hearing, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I That the tracts of land described ~n the attachments which are made a part of th~s ordinance for all purposes the same as ~f they were verbally w~thin this ordmnance be and the same are made hereby a part of sa~d City and the land and the present and future · nhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the r~ghts and prmv~- leges of other cmtizens of said C~ty and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said C~ty now in effect or which may here- after be enacted and the property situated therein shall be sub3ect to and shall bear ~ts pro-rata part of the taxes lev~ed by the C~ty of Denton SECTION II The property attached hereto and more adequately described · n Tracts 1-5 are hereby classified "A" Agricultural Distr~ct Pro- perty and shall so appear on the official zoning map of the City of Denton, Texas, which map is hereby amended accordingly SECTION III That this ordinance shall be effectzve zmmedzately upon zts passage PASSED AND APPROVED thzs the ~ day o~ ~, A D 1974 BILL NEU', MAYOR CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS ATTEST B~k~)oKS HOLT, CITY -SECRETARY CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS APPROVED ~ LEGAL FORM ~ RALPH MAN~ CITY ATTORNEY CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS TRACT 3 Field Notes to ~35.7 acres of land in the V E Gallor Survey, Abstract No. 4570 the Thomas Polk Survey, Abstract No 999 the A J Burns Survey Abstr3ct No 130, and the William Roark Survey, Abstract No. 1095 and being a part of a proposed city limits extension of tho City of Dent~n~ Denton Countf, Beg;nning at a point in the ex~stln~ city limits lxne In the west r~ght- of-way line of F M Road P]64 and being 239].8 feet north of the south boundary line of a tract of land conveyed to R N Evers by deed recorded in Volu~e 399, page 534 dated November ]7, 1954 of the Deed Records of Denton County.
