THE CITY OF DENTON~EXAS, BEING ALL THAT LOT, TRACT OR PARCEL OF
LAND CONSISTING OF 76 24 ACRES LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE
J FISHER SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO 421, M E P & P R R CO SURVEY,
ABSTRACT NO 950, AND THE S F REYNOLDS SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO 1654
CLASSIFY,ING TEE SAME AS "SF-10" SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT PROPERTY,
AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the request for annexation was introduced at a re-
gular meeting of the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
on the petition of BAKER CROW, and
WHEREAS, an opportu.nlty was afforded, at a public hearing
held for that purpose on July 16, 1974 for all ~nterested persons
to state their views and present evidence bearing upon the annexa-
tion provided by this ordinance, and
WHEREAS, this ordinance has been published in full at least
one time in the official newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas,
praor to its effectave date, and after the publac hearing,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the hereinafter described tract of land be, and the
same as hereby annexed to the City of Denton, Texas, and the same
is made hereby a part of said City and the land and the present
and future inhabitants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights
and privileges of other citizens of said City and shall be bound
by the acts and ordinances of said City now an effect or whach
may hereafter be enacted and the property s~tuated therean shall
be subject to and shall bear its pro-rata part of the taxes levled
by the City The tract of land hereby annexed is described as
follows, to-wit
Being a tract or parcel of land situated in the County of Denton,
State of Texas, and being part of the J Fisher Survey, Abstract
No 421, the M E P & P R R CO Survey, Abstract No 950, and the
S F Reynolds Survey, Abstract No 1654, and being more particu-
larly described as follows
BEGINNING at a point for corner at the northeasterly corner of
said F~sher Survey and the northwesterly corner of said Reynolds
Survey, said point being an ell corner of the existing Denton City
Limits,
THENCE due north along the westerly line of said M E P & P R R
CO Survey and the ex~st~ng Denton City Limits a distance of 848 2
feet to a point for a corner,
THENCE south 89° 25' 07" east along the northerly llne of said Sur-
vey and contlnulng along the exlstlng Denton C~ty L~mlts a distance
of 1013 00feet to a point for a corner,
THENCE south 1° 04' 27" west a d~stance of 1588 00 feet to a point
for corner at the southeasterly corner of said Reynolds Survey,
THENCE north 87° 39' 11" west along the southerly l~ne of sa~d
Reynolds Survey passing the southwesterly corner of sa~d Survey
and along the southerly line of a tract of land conveyed to Harold
E Harmon by deed recorded ~n Volume 457, Page 488 of the Deed Re-
cords of Denton County, Texas, ~n all a distance of 3559 00 feet to
a point for corner,
THENCE an a northerly darectlon along the exlstanq Denton City
Limits and along a curve to the left that ~s concentric wlth and
5 00 feet easterly of the easterly lane of FM 2181, having a radius
of 766 78 feet and an arc length of 240 4 feet to a point for corner,
THENCE north 0° 38' 30" west continuing alonq the existing Denton
Clty Lam~ts a d~stance of 398 00feet to a point for a corner,
THENCE south 89° 24' east along the northerly l~ne of said Fasher
Survey and contlnulng along the existing Denton City Lamlts a dis-
tance of 2630 00 feet to the place of beg~nnang and contaln~ng
76 24 acres, more or less
SECTION II
The above described property as hereby classified as "SF-10"
Single Family D~strlct and shall so appear on the official zoning
map of the Clty of Denton, Texas, which map ~s hereby amended
accordingly
SECTION III
Thls ordlnance shall be effective ~mmedlately upon ats passage
