WHEREAS, the request for annexation was introduced at a re-
gular meeting of the City Coumcil of the City of Denton, Texas,
on the petition of SAFETY-KLEEN CORPORATION, and
WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a public hearing
held for tha: purpose on June 4, 1974, for all interested per-
sons tO state their vz~ws and present evmdence bearing upon the
annexation provided by this ordinance, and
WHEREAS, this ordinance has been published ~n full at least
one time in the official newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas,
prior to its effective date, and after the public hearzng,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the hereinafter described tract of land be, and the
same is hereby annexed to the City of Denton, Texas, and the same
is made hereby a part of said City and the land and the present
and future inhabitants thereof shall be entztled to all the rights
and privileges of other citizens of said Clty and shall be bound
by the acts and ordinances of said Czty now in effect or which
may hereafter be enacted and the property situated therein shall
be subject to and shall bear its pro-rata part of the taxes levied
by the City The tract of land hereby annexed is described as

WHEREAS, Safety-Kleen Corporation has applied for an amendment
to Planned Development No 18 (PD-18), as originally defined by
Ordznance No 74-31 and subsequently amended by Ordinance Nos
79-21, 88-208, to, with respect to the 21 1566 acres of land
identified as lot lA of the MarG-Sam addition located therein,
suspend the general conditions applicable thereto, and znstead

WHEREAS, on March 8, 1995, the Planning and Zoning Commission,

zoning district classification and use designation and a change in
zoning for i 9 acres of land from Light Industrial (LI) to Planned
Development (PD) zoning district classification and use
designation, such land to be included within and become a part of
PD-18, and
WHEREAS, the applicant is requesting the approval of a concept
plan for the 19 acres rezoned and to be added to the district, and
WHEREAS, on October 26, 1988, the Planning and Zoning
Commission recommended approval of the requested changes in zoning
and the concept plan for the land rezoned, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
