ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE OF
NOTICE OF SALE OF BONDS

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
1 That the City Secretary is directed to issue a Notice
of Sale of Bonds in substantaally the following form
"OFFICIAL NOTICE OF SALE

WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS,
SERIES 1974
$1,500,000
ELECTRIC REVENUE BONDS,
SERIES 1974
$1,800,000
GENERAL OBLIGATION STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS,
SERIES 1974
$985,000
GENERAL OBLIGATION REFUNDING BONDS,
SERIES 1974
The City Council of the City of Denton, Denton, County,
Texas, will receave sealed bids at the Municipal Build-
lng in the City of Denton until
2 00 p m , Tuesday, June 25, 1974,
for the purchase of
$2~000,000 Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bonds, to
be dated July 15, 1974, and to mature serially July 15
each year 1976 through 1998
$1,500,000 Electric Revenue Bonds, to be dated July 1,
1974, and to mature serially November 1 each year 1976
through 1998
$1~800,000 General Obla~atlon Street Improvement Bonds,
to be dated July 15, 1974, and to mature serially July 15
each year 1976 through 1994
$985,000 General Obligation Refunding Bonds, to be dated
July 15, 1974, and to mature serially July 15 each year
1976 through 1994
Sealed bads, plaanly marked "Bad for Bonds", should be
addressed to "Honorable Mayor and City Council, City of
Denton, Texas"v and must be submitted on the "Official
Bld Form" to be made available by the City Council prior
to the date of sale
Ail sealed bads will be publlcly opened and tabulated
before the Council
Coples of the "Official Statement" and "Offlcaal Bad
Form" are being prepared and wall be maaled to prospec-
rave badders on or about June 10, 1974, and wall be fur-
n~shed to any prospective b~dder upon request, by Flrst
Southwest Company, Mercantale Bank Bu~ldang, Dallas, Texas,

The C~ty reserves the r~ght to reject any and all b~ds

shall be made at least thirty days prior to the day set for re-

as follows
1 The City Council of said City convened in
REGULAR MEETING ON THE 21ST DAY OF MAY, 1974,
at the Municipal Building (City Hall), and the roll was called
of the duly constituted officers and members of said City Council,
to-wit
Brooks Holt, City Secretary Bill Neu, Mayor
Morris Klbler Tom Jester
Mrs Lllllan Miller George Schneider
and all of said persons were present, except the following
absentees ,
thus constituting a quorum "Whereupon, among other business,
the followlnq was transacted at said Meeting a written

was duly introduced for the consideration of said City Council
and read in full It was then duly moved and seconded that sa~d
Ordinance be passed, and, after due discussion, said motion,
carrying with it the passage of said Ordinance, prevailed and
carrled by the following vote

2 That a true, full, and correct copy of the aforesaid
Ordinance passed at the Meeting described in the above and fore-
going paragraph is attached to and follows this Certificate,
that said Ordinance has been duly recorded in said City Council's
minutes of said Meeting, that the above and foregoing paragraph
is ,a true, full, and correct excerpt from sa~d City Council's
minutes of said Meeting pertaining to the passage of said Ordi-
nance; that the persons named in the above and foregoing paragraph
are the duly chosen, qualified, and acting officers and members of
said City Council as indicated therein, that each of the officers
and members of said City Council was duly and sufficiently notl-
fled officially and personally, in advance, of the time, place,
and purpose of the aforesaid Meeting, and that said Ordinance
wodld be Introduced and considered for passage at said Meeting,
and each of sa~d officers and members consented, in advance, to
the holding of said Meeting for such purpose, and that said Meet-
lng was open to the public, and public notice of the time, place,
and purpose of said meeting was given, all as required by Vernon's

3 That the Mayor of said City has approved, and hereby
approves, the aforesaid Ordinance, that the Mayor and the City
Secretary of said City have duly signed said Ordinance, and that
the Mayor and the City Secretary of said City hereby declare that
thelr s~gnlng of this Certificate shall constltute the signing of
the attached and following copy of said Ordinance for all pur-
poses

We, the undersigned, being respectively the City Attorney and
the Bond Attorneys of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby certify
that we prepared and approved as to legality the attached and
following Ordinance prior to ~ts passage as aforesaid
Bond Attorneys
