ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE OF
NOTICE OF SALE OF BONDS
THE STATE OF TEXAS

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
1 That the City Secretary is directed to issue a Notice
of Sale of Bonds in substantially the following form
"OFFICIAL NOTICE OF SALE

$2,000,000
WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS,
SERIES 1974
$1,500,000
ELECTRIC REVENUE BONDS,
SERIES 1974
$1,800,000
GENERAL OBLIGATION STREET IMPROVEMENT BONDS,
SERIES 1974
$985,000
GENERAL OBLIGATION REFUNDING BONDS,
SERIES 1974
The City Council of the C~ty of Denton, Denton, County,
Texas, will receive sealed b~ds at the Municipal Build-
ing in the City of Denton until
10 30 a m , Tuesday, June 25, 1974,
for the purchase of
$2,000,000 Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bond~, to
be dated July 15, 1974, and to mature serially July 15
each year 19~ through 199~
$1,500,000 Electric Revenue Bonds, to be dated July 1,
1974, and to mature serially November 1 each year
through 199_~
$1¢800,000 General Obligation Street Improvement Bonds,
to be dated July 15, 1974, and to mature serially July 15
each year 19q_~ through 19~
$985,000 General Obligation Refunding Bonds, to be dated
June 15,~974, and to mature serially Dece~er 15 each
year 19~___' through 19~3
Sealed b~ds, plainly marked "B~d for Bonds", should be
addressed to "Honorable Mayor and City Council, Clty of
Denton, Texas", and must be submitted on the "Official
Bid Form" to be made available by the City Council prior
to the date of sale
Ail sealed bids w~ll be publicly opened and tabulated
before the Council
Coples of the "Offlclal Statement" and "Official Bld
Form" are being prepared and wlll be malled to prospec-
tive b~dders on or about June 10, 1974, and w~ll be fur-
n~shed to any prospective b~dder upon request, by F~rst
Southwest Company, Mercantile Bank Building, Dallas, Texas,
75201, F~nanc~al Advisors to the C~ty
The City reserves the r~ght to reject any and all b~ds
and to waive any and all irregularities

Buyer, New York, New York, which ~s a national publication
regularly and primarily carrying flnanclal news and municipal
bond sale notices, and said Notice also shall be published once
· n the "Denton Record-Chronicle", which has been deslgnated as
the official newspaper of the C~ty of Denton Sald publications
shall be made at least thirty days prior to the day set for re-
ceiving bids

REGULAR MEETING ON THE 7TH DAY OF MAY, 1974,
at the Municipal Building (City Hall), and the roll was called
of the duly constituted officers and members of said C~ty Council,

manutes of said Meetang, that the above and foregoing paragraph
· s a true, full, and correct excerpt from said Caty Councal's
manures of sa~d Meetang pertaan~ng to the passage of sa~d Ordi-
nance; that the persons named ~n the above and foregoang paragraph
are the duly chosen, qualifaed, and actang offlcers and members of

the attached and following copy of said Ordinance for all pur-
