THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BEING ALL THAT LOT, TRACT OR PARCEL OF
LAND CONSISTING OF 39 41 ACP~S OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED
IN THE CO~TY OF DENTON, STATE OF TEXAS AND BEING A PART OF THE
A GIBSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO 498; CLASSIFYING THE SAME AS "SF-16"
SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT PROPERTY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE

gular m~eting of the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
on the petition of Mr. Chuck ~_~llinax, and
WHEI{EAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a public hearing
held for that purpose on February 5, 1974, for all interested
persons to state their views and present evidence bearing upon
the anngxation provided by this ordinance, and
WHEREAS, this ordinance has been published ~n full at least
one tl~e in the official newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas,
prior t~ Its effective date, and after the public hearing,
NOW, THEREFORE, TEE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY
ORDAINS.
S~CTION I
That the hereinafter described tract of land be, and the
same is hereby annexed to the City of Denton, Texas, and the same
· s made.hereby a part of said City and the land and the present
and future ~nhabltants thereof shall be entitled to all the rights
and privileges of other citizens of sa~d C~ty and shall be bound
by the acts and ordinances of said C~ty now ~n effect or which
may hereafter be enacted and the property situated therein shall
be subject to and shall bear its pro-rata part of the taxes lev~ed
by the ~ity0 The tract of land hereby annexed ~s described as
follows, to-wit
Ail that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being s~t-
uated in the County of Denton, State of Texas, and being part of
the A Gibson S~rvey, Abstract No 498 and being ~re particularly
described as follows
BEGINNING at a point in the present c~ty l~m~ts l~ne, said point
of beginning lying ~n the east boundary l~ne of a tract of land
conveye~ by G~od Financial Corporation to John Maeckle, Trustee in
deed reOorded in Volu~e 660, Page 132 of the Deed Records of Denton
County,|Texas and being 200.01 feet south 0° 31' 40" west of the
northeagt corner of said Maeckle Tract,
THENCE ~outh 0" 31' 40" west along the east boundary line of said
Maeckle'Tr&¢t, a distance of 1228 99 feet to a point for a corner,
THENCE west a d~stance of 1356 20 feet to a point for a corner in
the west boundary l~ne of said Maeckle Tract same being the west
boundary line of said G~bson Survey,
THENCE north 0° 07' 40" east along the west boundary line of sa~d
Maeokle Tract same being the west boundary line of said Gibson
Survey, a d~stanoe of 1231 00 feet to a point for a corner in the
existing city limits line,
THENCE south 89° 54' 45" east along the existing city limits line,
a dlstanoe of 1364 73 feet to the place of beginning and contain-
lng 39 41 acres of land, more or less
SECTION II
The above described property is hereby classified as "SF-16"
S~ngle Family District and shall so appear on the official zoning
map of the City of Denton, Texas, which map is hereby amended
accordingly
SECTION III
This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its
passage
