1973-020AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE LEGAL MAXIMUM SPEED LIMIT ON PORTIONS OF
EAST MCEINNEY STREET, PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF,
AND DECLARING ~N EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SEQTION I0
That the maximum speed limit on the below described portion of
East McKinney Street, a public street within the City of Denton, is
hereby changed as follows
EAST BOUND ON EAST MCKINNEY
Forty (40) miles per hour (MPH) from the centerline of
Campbell Street to 500 feet east of Mack Place
Fifty (50) miles per hour (MPH) from 500 feet east of
Mack Place to the centerline of Cardinal Street
Fo~ty (40) miles per hour (MPH) from the centerline of
Cardinal Street to the centerline of Loop 288
WEST BOUND ON EAST MCKINNEY
Forty-Five (45) miles per hour (MPH) from the centerline
of Loop 288 to the centerline of Cardinal Street
Fifty (50) miles per hour (MPH) from the centerline of
Cardinal Street to a point 500 feet east of Mack Place
Forty (40) miles per hour (MPH) from a point 500 feet
east of Mack Place to the centerline of Campbell Street
SEqTION II
That anyone exceeding this speed limit, when posted, without
legal excuse~ shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon convic-
tion, shall be punished by a fine of any amount not exceeding Two
Hundred ($200 00) Dollars
SECTION III
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in force when the
provisions of this ordinance become effective which are inconsistent
or in conflict with the terms or provisions of this ordinance are
hereby ~epealed to the extent of any such conflict
