1973-013AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO LOT NOq 1,6,7&8, BLOCK NO 107, LOT NOS 12-22, BLOCK NO 108, LOT NOS 14-25, BLOCK NO 109, LOT NOS 1, 11-17, BLOCK NO 110, LOT NOq 1-6, BLOCK NO 407, LOT NOS 1-10, BLOCK NO 408, LOT NOS 1-4, BLOCK NO 409, LOT NOS 1-5, BLOCK NO 410, LOT NOS 4-14, BLOCK NO 411 AS SHOWN THIS DATE ON THE OFFICIAL TAX MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted January 14, 1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under provisions of Ordinance 69-1, be, and the same ~s hereby amended as follows All the hereinafter described property is hereby removed from the "MF-i" District as shown on said Zoning Map~ and all provisions of Ordinance No 69-1, adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as amended, shall here- after apply to said property as "O" Off~ce D~strlct in the same manner as other property located in the "O" Office D~strlct, All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the City and County of Denton, State of Texas, and being Lot Nos 1, 6, 7 & 8, Block No 107, Lot Nos 12-22, Block No 108, Lot Nos 14-25, Block No 109, Lot Nos 1, 11-17, Block No 110, Lot Nos 1-6, Block No 407, Lot Nos 1-10, Block No 408, Lot Nos 1-4, Block No 409, Lot Nos 1-5, Block No 410 and Lot Nos 4-14, Block No 411 and being further described as being located along both sides of North Locust Street be- tween College Street and Marshall Street in the City of Denton, Texas SECTION II That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby finds that such change is in accordance with a comprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the City of Denton, Texas, and with reasonable consideration, among other things for the character of the district and for ~ts peculiar suitability or particular uses, and w~th a view to conserving the value of the buildings, protecting human lives, and encouraging the most appropriate uses of land for the maximum bene- fit to the City of Denton, Texas and its citizens SECTION III That th~s ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately after its passage and approval, the required public hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission and the C~ty Council of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, after giving due notice thereof PASSED AND APPROVED this the 1st day of May, A D 1973 BILL NEU, MAYOR ATTEST ~, CITY S--~RETARY
