THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS; BEING ALL THAT LOT, TRACT OR PARCEL OF
LAND CONSISTING OF 100 83 A~RES LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE
COUNTY, OF DENTON, STATE OF TEXAS AND BEING IN THE M E P & P R R
COMPANY ~SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO 927,DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, CLASSIFYING
THE SAME AS "A" AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT PROPERTY, AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the request for annexation was introduced at a re-
gular meeting of the C~ty Council of the City of Denton, Texas, on
the petition of Mobil Systems, Incorporated, and
WHEREAS, an opportunlty was afforded, at a public hearing held
for tha~ purpose on February 6~1973,for all interested persons to
state t~e~r v~ews and present evidence bearing upon the annexation
provided by this ordinance, and
WHEREAS, th~s ordinance, has been published in full at least
one tlm~ an the offlclal newspaper of the C~ty of Denton, Texas,
prior ta ~ts effective date, and after the public hearing
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HFREBY
ORDAINS i
SECTION I
That the hereinafter described tract of land be, and the same
· s hereby annexed to the Clty of Denton, Texas, and the same ~s
made herleby a part of sald C~ty and the land and the Dresent and
future ~habitants thereof shall be entitled to all the r~ghts
and privileges of other c~t~zens of sa~d C~ty and shall be bound
by the alcts and ordinances of said City now ~n effect or which may
hereafte~ be enacted and the property s~tuated there~n shall be
subject to and shall bear ~ts pro-rata part of the taxes levied
by the C~ty The tract of land hereby annexed Ks described as

All that certaln lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being sit-
uated · n the Clty and County of Denton, State of Texas, and being
part of ~he M E P & P R R Company Survey, Abstract No 927 and
more parlt~cularly descrlbed as follows
BEGINNIN~ at a point in the present City L~m~ts Line, sa~d point of
beginnln~ being 600 0 feet east of the east right of way l~ne of Loop
288 and being the most northerly northwest corner of a tract of land
annexed ~y the City of Denton by Ordinance 70-49 and also lying in
the north boundary lane of a tract of land conveyed by Golden Triangle
Properties, Inc , to Bob A Lonrke and wife, Margaret Lohrke by deed
dated October 8, 1963 and recorded an Volume 500, Page 285 of the Deed
Records of Denton County, Texas,
THENCE north along the present City Limits L~ne 600 0 feet east
of and parallel w~th the east r~ght of way line of Loop 288 to a
point 600 0 feet south of and perpendicular to the south r~ght of
way llne of F M Road No 426 (East McKlnney) a point for a corner,
THENCE southeasterly along the present C~ty Limits Line 600 0 feet
south of and parallel w~th the south r~ght of way l~ne of F M Road
No 426 to a point for a corner in the east boundary line of sa~d
M E P & P R R Company Survey same being the west boundary l~ne of
M Forrest Survey, Abstract No 417 and also being the east boundary
line of a 20 acre tract conveyed by George Morrow, et ux to B H
Wllllam$ by deed dated September 8, 1919 and recorded ~n Volume 167,
Page 144 of the Deed Records of Denton County, Texas, said corner
point being in Mayhlll Road,
THENCE south 3° 17' west along the east boundary l~ne of sa~d M E P
& P R R Company Survey, same being the east boundary line of said
20 acre tract and crossing d~agoinally Mayh~ll Road a d~stance of
301 89 feet to a fence corner on the east r~ght of way l~ne of May-
h~ll Road,
THENCE south 5° 54' west along sald fence l~ne same being the east
r~ght of way l~ne of Mayhlll Road 226 2 feet to an angle ~n said
fence l~ne for a point,
THENCE south 3° 01' west along said fence l~ne same being the east
r~ght of way line of Mayh~ll Road a distance of 2,239 5 feet to a
point for a corner in the east boundary l~ne of said M E P & P R R
Company Survey, same being the southeast corner of a 50 acre tract
of land conveyed by Mony A Sn~der, et v~r, to B H williams, Jr ,
by Deed dated September 2, 1907 and recorded ~n Volume 106, Page
299 of the Deed Reoords of Denton County, Texas,
THENCE north 89~ 29' west along the south boundary l~ne of said 50
acre tract passing at 640 5 feet the northeast corner of sa~d tract
of land annexed by the Clty of Denton by Ordinance No 70-49 and
continuing along said present Clty L~m~ts Llne a total distance of
1,427 1 feet to the place of beginning and containing 100 83 acres
of land, more or less
SECTION II
The above descrlbed property is hereby classified as "A" Agr~-
cultural District and shall so appear on the official zonlnq map
of the C~ty of Denton, which map ~s hereby amended accordingly
SECTION III
This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage
