1973-007AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEX~S, AS SkME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APgENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEX~S, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO LOTS NO 6 ~ND 7, CITY BLOCK NO 440, AS SHOWN THIS DATE ON THF OFFI- CIAL TAX M~P OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DES- CRIBED THEREIN, ~ND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEX~S, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted January 14, 1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under provisions of Ordinance 69-1, be, and the same is hereby amended as follows All the hereinafter described property is hereby removed from the MF-1 Multi-family Dlstrlct as shown on said Zoning Map, and all pro- visions of Ordinance No 69-1, adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as amended, shall hereafter apply to sa~d property as GR General Retail Dlstrlct an the same manner as other property located ~n the GR Ceneral Retail District, All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being situated · n the C~ty and County of Denton, State of Texas, and being Lots No 6 and 7, Clty Block No 440, and being further described as being located at the southwest corner of the intersection of New Henry and Bolivar Street The dlmenslons of the property are approximately 180' x 200' SECTION II That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby finds that such change is ~n accordance w~th a comprehensive plan for the purpose of promotlng the general welfare of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, and with reasonable consideration, among other th~ngs for the character of the district and for it~ peculiar suitability or particular uses, and w~th a v~ew to conserving the value of the bulld~ngs, protecting human l~ves, and encouraging the most appropriate uses of land for the maximum bene- fit to the Clty of Denton, Texas and ~ts c~t~zens SECTION III That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect lmmedlately after its passage and approval, the required public hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission and the C~ty Council of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, after giving due not~ce thereof PASSED AND APPROVED this the 3rd day of April, A D 1973 BILL NEU, MAYOR CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS B~OOKS HOLT, CITY SECRETARY CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS APPROVED AS TO LECAL FORM
