LAND CONSISTING OF 21 ACRES LYING AND BEINC SITUATED IN THE COUNTY
OF DENTON, STATE OF TEXAS AND BEING IN THE D D CULP SURVEY, AB-
STRACT NO 287, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, CLASSIFYING THE ~AME AS "SF-
10" SINGLE FAMILY DISTRICT PROPERTY, AND DECLARINC AN FFFECTIVF
DATE
WHEREAS, the request for annexation was Introduced at a re-
gular meeting of the Clty Council of the City of Denton, Texas, on
the petition of Jane H Sewell and Thomas W Mobberley, and
~{EREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a Dubl~c hearln~ held
for that purpose on November 21, 1972, for all ~nterested persons
to state their v~ews and present evidence bearing upon the annexa-
tion provided by th~s ordlnance, and
WHEREAS, th~s ordinance has been published in full at least
one t~me ~n the official newspaper of the C~ty of Denton, Texas,
prior to lts effective date, and after the public hearing,
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY
ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the hereInafter described tract of land be, and the same
is hereby annexed to the City of Denton, Texas, and the same Ks made
hereby a part of sa~d C~ty and the land and the present and future
~nhab~tants thereof shall be entltled to all the r~ghts and privi-
leges of other cltlzens of sald City and shall be bound by the acts
and ordlnances of said Clty now In effect or which may hereafter be
enacted and the property situated there~n shall be subject to and
shall bear lts pro-rata part of the taxes lev~ed by the C~ty The
tract of land hereby annexed ~s described as follows, to-wlt
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being s~t-
uated in the Clty and County of Denton, State of Texas, and being
part of the D.D Culp Survey, Abstract No 287 and being part of
a tract of land as conveyed from J D Brown and H ~ Brown to
W~lson H. Brown by deed dated October 1, 1963 and recorded in Vol-
ume 501, Page 207 of the Deed Records of Denton County, Texas, and
more particularly described as follows
BEGINNIN~ at a porn% in the present C~ty L~m~t~ L~ne, sa~d point
of beglnning lying in the south rlght of way line of Kings Row and
being the northeast corner of a tract of land conveyed by Clvde A
Blakely, et ux to Denton Development Company by Deed dated June 22,
1953 and recorded an Volume 390, Page 92 of the Deed Records of
Denton County, Texas, and also being 1355 0 feet south 89° 30' east
of the west boundary line of sa~d Culp Survey,
THENCE south 86° 55' 10" east along the south rght of way line of
Kings Row, a dlstance of 1001 33 feet to a Dolnt for a corner,
THENCE south 0° 08' west 1000 feet east of and parallel wlth the
existing Clty Llmlts L~ne, same belng the east boundarv lane of
sa~d Denton Development Company Tract, a distance of 904 66 feet
to a point for a corner,
THENCE north 86° 57' 10" west a d~stance of 1001 30 feet to a point
for a corner an the present C~ty L~mlts Line, same being the east
boundary lane of sa~d Denton Development Company Tract,
THENCE north 0° 08' east, along the present City Llm~ts Line, same
being the east boundary lane of sald Denton Development Companv
Tract a distance of 904 66 feet to the place of beginning and con
taln~ng 20 771 acres of land, more or less
SECTION II
The above described property is hereby classified as "SF-10"
S~ngle Famlly Dlstr~ct Property and shall appear on the official
zoning map of the C~ty of Denton, which map shall be amended by
sa~d ordlnance herewith
SECTION III
Thls ordinance shall be effective ~mmed~ately upon its passage
