AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AS
SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO
LOTS 2 AND 3, CITY BLOCK 417, AS SHOWN THIS DATE ON THE OFFICIAL TAX
MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the Zoning Map of the Caty of Denton, Texas, adopted January 14,
1969, as an Appendax to the Code of Ordlnances of the Clty of Denton,
Texas, under prov~slons of Ordanance 69-1, be, and the same is hereby
amended as follows
All the herelnafter descrlbed property as hereby removed from the "SF-7"
Sangle Family Distrlct as shown on saad Zonang Map, and all provaslons
of Ordinance No 69-1, adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as amend-
ed, shall hereafter apply to said property as "0" Offace Dastrlct in
the same manner as other property located an the "O" Office Dastrlct
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and beang situated
an the City and County of Denton, State of Texas, and beang Lots 2 and
3, Caty Block 417 and beang further described as beang located 3u~t
south of Talaaferro Street, approximately 200 feet, on the west s~de of
North Elm Street The total area of these two lots represents approxa-
mately one-half acre
SECTION II
That the City Council of the Clty of Denton, Texas, hereby finds that
such change as an accordance wath a comprehensave plan for the purpose
of promoting the general welfare of the Caty of Denton, Texas, and wath
reasonable consideration, among other things for the character of the
dastrlct and for ats peculiar suatab~l~ty or partacular uses, and with
a view to conservang the value of the bulldangs, protecting human laves,
and encouraglng the most appropriate uses of land for the maximum bene-
fit to the Clty of Denton, Texas and ats cat~zens
SECTION III
That th~s ordinance shall be ~n full force and effect ~mmedlately after
Its passage and approval, the requlred public hearings havang heretofore
been held by the Planning and Zonang Commassaon and the C~ty Councal of
the C~ty of Denton, Texas, after giving due not~ce thereof
