AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER FIVE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY CHANGING A PORTION OF THE ADOPTED UNIFORM
BUILDING CODE, 19Y0 EDITION, VOLUME ONE, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
PART I
That the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, ms
hereby amended and changed in the following partzcular
Chapter Five, Article II, Section 5-14 (b) is hereby deleted
and as amended reads as follows
"(b) Volume I, Section 301 (c), Plans and Specifications, is
amended to read as follows
Plans and Specifications With each application for a build-
ing permit, two sets of plans and specifications shall be submitted
The Building Official may require plans and specifications to be pre-
pared and designed by an engineer or archztect licensed by the State
of Texas
Exceptions When authorized by the Building Official plans
and specifications need not be submitted for
the following
1 One story buildings of Type V conventional woodstud con-
struction with an area not exceeding 600 square feet
2 Group J, Division 1, Occupancies of Type V Conventional
woodstud construction
3 Small and unimportant work "
Part II
That this ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage
