correct copy of an ordinance canvassing elect~on returns duly

held at the regular meeting place on the 28thday of June ,
1972, which ordinance has been duly recorded in the m~nutes of

ratlon of sa~d C~ty Council by ~ts presiding officer and read
· n full, and upon motion duly made and seconded, said ordin-
ance was passed by the followlng vote

Councll was duly and sufflclently notified officially and

said ordinance, that the Mayor and City Secretary of sa~d C~ty
have duly slgned sa~d ordinance, and that said Ordinance was
duly enacted

AN ORDINANCE CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS OF ELECTION HELD JUNE
27, 1972, TO ELECT TWO CITY COUNCILMEN
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the C~ty Council officially f~nds and determines that
an electlon was duly ordered to be held an the City of Denton,
Texas, on the 27th day of June, 1972, for the purpose of elect-
lng two (2) members to sald Council, that proper notice of said
election was duly g~ven, that proper elect~on officers were
appointed prlor to said elect~on, that sa~d elect~on was duly
held, that due returns of the result of sa~d elect~on have been
made and delivered, and that the C~ty Councll has duly canvassed
said returns, all in accordance w~th law
SECTION II
That the City Council offlclally f~nds and determines that
only resldent qualified electors of sa~d C~ty were allowed to
vote at said electlon, and the following votes were cast at sa~d
elect~on for each candidate and write-in, there being no other
person receiving any votes at th~s elect~on
