SAME WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO
LOT NO 1, CITY BLOCK NO 285-1, AS SHOWN THIS DATE ON THE OFFICIAL
TAX MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the Zonang Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted 7anuary 14,
1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton,
Texas, under provasaons of Ordinance 69-1, be, and the same is hereby
amended as follows
All the hereinafter described property is hereby removed from the "SF-7"
S~ngle Family Dastr~ct as shown on sa~d Zoning Map, and all provisions
of Ordinance No 69-1, adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as amended,
shall hereafter apply to sa~d property as "GR" General Retail Dlstrlct
~n the same manner as other property located ~n the "GR" General Retail
District,
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lyang and being satuated
in the C~ty and County of Denton, State of Texas, and being Lot No 1 of
C~ty Block No 285-1 and belng further described as being located in the
2900 Block of State School Road, located just south of the ~ntersectlon
of Interstate Highway 35E and State School Road and adjacent to the Brier-
cliff Estates Subdivision
SECTION II
That the Clty Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby finds that
such change ~s an accordance w~th a comprehensive plan for the purpose
of promoting the general welfare of the City of Denton, Texas, and with
reasonable cons~deratlon, among other things for the character of the
distract and for its peculiar suitability or particular uses, and with
a v~ew to oonserv~ng the value of the buildings, protecting human lives,
and encouraging the most appropriate uses of land for the maximum bene-
flt to the Clty of Denton, Texas and ats c~t~zens
SECTION III
That this ordlnance shall be in full force and effect immediately after
· ts passage and approval, the requared public hearings having heretofore
been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council of
the City of Denton, Texas, after glvlng due not~ce thereof
