SAME WAS AUOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO
CITY LOTS 27, 28, 29, 30 AND 31 OF CITY BLOCK 3017, AS SHOWN THIS DATE
ON THE OFFICIAL TAX MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTI-
CULARLY DESCRIBED THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the Zonlng Map of the Clty of Denton, Texas, adopted January 14,
1969, as an Appendlx to the Code of Ordinances of the C~ty of Denton,
Texas, under provlslons of Ordinance 69-1, be, and the same is hereby
amended as follows
All the hereinafter described property ~s hereby removed from the "MF-i"
Multi-Family Dlstrlct as shown on sald Zoning Map, and all provisions
of Ordinance No 69-1, adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as amended,
shall hereafter apply to sa~d property as "GR" Ceneral Retail Dlstr~ct
~n the same manner as other property located in the "GR" Ceneral Retail
Dlstrlct,
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being situated
in the C~ty and County of Denton, State of Texas, and being City Lots
27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 of C~ty Block 3017, and being further described
as being located in the Owsley Park Addition on the east side of Avenue
G and the north s~de of West Prairie Street
SECTION II
That the C~ty Counc~t of the Clty of Denton, Texas, hereby finds that
such change is in accordance w~th a comprehensive plan for the purpose
of promoting the general welfare of the City of Denton, Texas, and w~th
reasonable consideration, among other th~ngs for the character of the
dlstr~ct and for its peculiar sultablllty or particular uses, and with
a v~ew to conserving the value of the buildings, protecting human l~ves,
and encouraglng the most appropriate uses of land for the maximum bene-
fit to the City of Denton, Texas and its c~tlzens
SECTION III
That th~s ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately after
lts passage and approval, the required public hearings having heretofore
been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission and the C~ty Council of
the C~ty of Denton, Texas, after g~vlng due notice thereof
