SA~ WAS ADOPTED AS AN APPENDIX TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 69-1, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO
LOTS 1 AND 1 1, CITY BLOCK NO 182, AS SHOWN THIS DATE ON THE OFFICIAL
TAX MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON~ TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
THEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, adopted January
14, 1969, as an Appendix to the Code of Ordinances of the C~ty of Denton,
Texas, under provlslons of Ordinance 69-1, be, and the same Ks hereby
amended as follows
All the herelnafter descrlbed property ~s hereby removed from the
"SF-7" Single Family District as shown on said Zoning Map, and all pro-
v~s~ons of Ordinance No 69-1, adopted the 14th day of January, 1969, as
amended, shall hereafter apply to sald property as "GR" General Retail
Dlstrlct in the same manner as other property located in the "GR" General
Retail D~str~ct,
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being
situated In the C~ty and County of Denton, State of Texas, and
being Clty Lot 1 and 1 1 of City Block 182, also known as 1203
East McKlnney and is further described as being located ~n the
northeast corner of East McK~nney and Ruddell Street
SECTION II
That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby finds
that such change ls in accordance w~th a comprehensive plan for the pur-
pose of promoting the general welfare of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, and
w~th reasonable consideration, among other th~ngs for the character of
the dlstrict and for its peculiar suitability or particular uses, and
w~th a v~ew to conserving the value of the buildings, protecting human
llves, and encouraging the most appropriate uses of land for the maxi-
mum benefit to the City of Denton and its citizens
SECTION III
That th~s ordinance shall be ~n full force and effect ~mmedlately
after ~ts passage and approval, the required public hearings having
heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission and the C~ty
Council of the Clty of Denton, Texas, after g~vlng due notice thereof
PASSED and APPROVED th~s the 23rd day of May, A D 1972
