THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
1 That the C~ty Secretary ~s darected to assue a
Not~ce of Sale of Bonds ~n substantaally the following form

ELEQTRIC REVENUE BONDS,
SERIES 1972
The Clty Council of the Clty of Denton, Denton County,
Texas, w~ll receive sealed bads at the Munacapal Buald~ng
· n the C~ty of Denton untll
]0 30 AM, CST, luesday, April 25, ]9?2,
for the purchase of $6,000,000 Electric Revenue Bonds,
to be dated May 1, 1972, and to mature seraally November
1 each year 1973 through 1997
Sealed bads, plalnly marked "Bad for Bonds", should be
addressed to "Honorable Mayor and Clty Councal, Clty of
Denton, Texas", and must be submitted on the "Offlcaal
B~d Form" to be made avaalable by the Caty Councll prior
to the date of sale
All sealed b~ds wtll be publacly opened and tabulated be-
fore the Councll
Cop~es of the "Off clal Statement" and "Official Bid Form"
are beang prepared and wall be ma~led to prospective bad-
ders on or about April 14, 1972, and wlll be furnashed to
any prospectave b~dder upon request, by Farst Southwest
Company, 900 Mercantile Bank Buald~ng, Dallas, Texas,
75201, Flnanc~al Advisors to the Clty
The C~ty reserves the rlght to reject any and all b~ds
and to waive any and all lrregularltaes

the offlclal newspaper of the City of Denton Sa~d publacataons
shall be made at least tharty days praor to the day set for re-

We, the undersigned offlcers of said City, hereby certify
as follows
1 The City Council of said City convened in
REGULAR MEETING ON THE 14TH DAY OF MARCH, 1972,
at the Municipal Building, and the roll was called of the duly
constituted offlcers and members of sald C~ty Councll, to-wit
Brooks Holt, Clty Secretary Alexander M Flnlay, Mayor
Hugh M Ayer B~ll Neu
Bob Chambers Harold L Ramey
and all of said persons were present, except the fol!owlng
absentees '
thus constituting a quorum Whereupon, among other business,
the following was transacted at said Meeting a written
ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE OF NOTICE OF SALE OF BONDS
was duly lntroduced for the consideration of said Clty Council
and read in full It was then duly moved and seconded that sa~d
Ordinance be passed, and, after due discussion, said motion,
carrying with it the passage of said Ordinance, prevalled and
carried by the following vote
AYES All members of said City Council
shown present above voted "Aye"
NOES None
2 That a true, full, and correct copy of the aforesaid
Ordinance passed at the Meeting described in the above and fore-
going paragraph is attached to and follows this Certificate,
that said Ordlnance has been duly recorded in said Clty Council's
m~nutes of said Meeting, that the above and foregoing paragraph
is a true, full, and correct excerpt from sald City Council's
m~nutes of said Meeting pertaining to the passage of said Ordi-
nance, that the persons named in the above and foregoing paragraph
are the duly chosen, qualified, and acting officers and members of
said Clty Council as indicated there~n, that each of the officers
and members of said City Councll was duly and sufflclently noti-
fied offlclally and personally, in advance, of the time, place,
and purpose of the aforesald Meetlng, and that sa~d Ordinance
would be introduced and considered for passage at said Meeting,
and each of said officers and members consented, in advance, to
the holding of sa~d Meeting for such purpose, and that said Meet-
lng was open to the public, and public notice of the time, place,
and purpose of sa~d meeting was given, all as required by Vernon's
Ann C~v St Article 6252-17
3 That the Mayor of said City has approved, and hereby
approves, the aforesald Ordlnance, that the Mayor and the City
Secretary of said City have duly s~gned said Ordinance, and that
the Mayor and the City Secretary of sa~d City hereby declare that
their slgnlng of this Certificate shall constitute the slgnlng of
the attached and following copy of said Ordinance for all pur-
poses
