1968-031AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER l, 1968, AND ENDING
ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1969, LEVYING TAXES FOR THE YEAR 1968 TO BE
ASSESSED ON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing on the budget for
the City of Denton, Texas, for the fiscal year 1968-69 was
heretofore published at least 15 days in advance of said
hearing, and
HEREAS, as public hearing on the said budget was duly
held nd all ~nterested persons were given an opportunity
to be heard for or against any item thereof, now therefore,
TIHE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SIECTION I
Tthat the budget for the City of Denton, Texas, for the
flsca~ year beginning on October l, 1968, and ending on
September 30, 1969, tn words and figures as shown therein is
flnalllY approved and adopted
SiECTION II
T,hat there shall be, and there is hereby levied, the
followling taxes on each one hundred dollar ($100 00) valuation
on all taxable property wtthln the City of Denton, Texas, to
be assessed and collected by the Tax Assessor and Collector
for the year 1968 and said taxes are to be assessed and col-
lected for the purposes hereinafter stipulated as follows, to
wit
(la) For the general fund allocation on the
$100 O0 valuation $ 8035'
(b) For the ~nterest and redemption funds
I on outstanding bonded indebtedness on
the $100 O0 valuation 6965'
Total Allocation of Levy $1 50'
qECTION III
~hat the City Manager shall cause cop~es of the budget
to hell,led with the City Secretary, the County Clerk of Denton
County and the State Comptroller of Public Accounts
IECTION IV
~h~s ordinance shall be effective ~mmediately upon its
passage
