1968-028 NO & AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING A TRACT OF LAND CONTIGUOUS AND ADJACENT TO THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BEING ALL THAT LOT, TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND CONSISTING OF 1 95 ACRES LYING AND BEING SIT- UATED IN THE COUNTY OF DENTON, STATE OF TEXAS AND BEING IN THE M E P AND P R R SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO g50, DENTON COUNTY, TEXAS, CLASSIPYING THE SAME AS "LI" - LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DIS- TRICT PROPERTY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE WHEREAS, the ordinance was Initially ~ntroduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, on August 27, 1968, on the petition of T L Caruthers and others, and WHEREAS, th~s ordinance has been published ~n full one time in the official newspaper of the City of Denton, Texas prior to ~ts effective date, and WHEREAS, an opportunity was afforded, at a public hear- lng held for that purpose on August 27, 1968, for all ~nterest- ed persons to state their v~ews and present evidence bearing upon the annexation provided by th~s ordinance, NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I That the hereinafter described tract of land be and the same is hereby annexed to the C~ty of Denton, Texas, and the same is made hereby a part of said Clty and the land and any present and future inhabitants ~ereof shall be entitled to all the rights and privileges of other citizens of sald Clty and shall be bound by the acts and ordinances of said City now in effect or which may hereafter be enacted and the pro- perty situated therein shall be subject to and shall bear its pro-rata part of the taxes lev~ed by the C~ty The tract of land hereby annexed is described as follows, to w~t All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the City and County of Denton, State of Texas, being a part of the M E P and P R R Survey, Abstract No 950, and belnga part of a cer- tain tract of land conveyed to Charles G Rynyon to T L Caruthers by deed dated October 2, 1964 and recorded in Volume 514, Page 133, of the Deed Records of Denton County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows, to w~t BEGINNING at a point in the west boundary l~ne of said T L Caruthers property 350 30 feet, more or less, north of said T L Caruthers property south- west line, sa~d point of beginning lying in the ex~sting city limits line and being 750 feet south- west of and perpendicular to the center l~ne of Interstate Highway 35 E, THENCE southeast, with said city limits l~ne and being 750 feet southwest of and parallel with the centerl~ne of Interstate H~ghway 35 E, 5go O0 feet more or less, to a point for a corner in the south boundary line of said T L Caruthers property, THENCE north 87° 51' west, with said T L Caruthers property south boundary line 485 O0 feet, more or less, to a point for a corner at the southwest corner of said T L Caruthers property, THENCE north 2° 10' east, with said T L Caruthers property west boundary line 350 30 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning and containing 1 95 acres of land, more or less SECTION II The above described property is hereby classified as "LI" L~ght Industrial D~str~ct property and shall so appear on the official zoning map of the C~ty of Denton, as amended SECTION III This ordinance shall be effective ~mmed~ately upon ~ts passage PASSED AND APPROVED this /~-~-day of September, A D 1968 l~ Den~on,Y~exas ATTEST~. ~y~d~ks Holt, C~ y ecretary C~ty of Denton, Texas APPROVED AS/~TO LEGAL FORM J~d~)~-Q 'Barton, C~F~-y Attorney yy of Denton, Texas
