AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON,
TEXAS, 1961, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A PART OF PARTS II AND
III OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
DENTON, TEXAS, BY ORDINANCE NO 61-19, AND AS SAME MAP
APPLIES TO CERTAIN PROPERTY KNOWN AS CITY LOT 5B AND CITY
LOT 19 OF CITY BLOCK 285 AS SHOWN ON THE OFFICIAL CITY MAP
OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIB-
ED HER~IN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDIANS
SECTION I
That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, 1961,
adopted as a Part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13, of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under pro-
visions of Ordinance No 61-19, be, and the same ~s hereby
amended as follows
All the hereinafter described property is hereby re-
moved from the "R" Dwelling D~strlct, "A-2" - Dwelling
Distr~ct and "LB" - Local Bus~ness D~strlct as shown
on the said map, and all provisions of Parts II and
III of Chapter 13, of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of Denton, Texas, as prowded by Ordinance No
61-19, shall hereafter apply to sa~d property as "LI"-
Light Industrial in the same manner as other property
located in the "LI" - L~ght Industrial D~strlct,
All that certain lot, tract or parcel of land s~tuated
in the C~ty and County of Denton, State of Texas, known
as C~ty Lot 5B and C~ty Lot 19 of C~ty Block 285 being
further described as being on the west s~de of Inter-
state 35E beginning 450 feet north of the State School
Road
SECTION II
That the City Council of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, here-
by flnds that such change ~s ~n accordance w~th a comprehensive
plan for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the
C~ty of Denton, Texas, and w~th reasonable consideration, among
other th~ngs, for the character of the district and for its
peculiar suitability or particular uses, and with a view to
conserving the value of the buildings, protecting human l~ves
and enoouraglng the most appropriate uses of land for the
maximum benefit to the City of Denton and its c~t~zens
SECTION III
That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately after its passage and approval, the required public
hearings hawng heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning
Commission and the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas,
after g~v~ng due notice thereof
