1968-019 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY
OF DENTON, TEXAS, 1961, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A
PART OF PARTS II AND III OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY
ORDINANCE NO 61-19, AND AS SAID MAP APPLIES TO
CERTAIN PROPERTY KNOWN AS CITY LOTS 8, 9, and 10
OF CITY BLOCK 3022, AS SHOWN ON THE OFFICIAL CITY
MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTI-
CULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE
DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY
ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton, Texas, 1961, adopted
as a Part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Denton, Texas, under the provisions of Ordinance No 61-19,
be, and the same is hereby amended as follows
All of the hereinafter described property ~s hereby removed
from the "R" - Dwelling D~str~ct as shown on sa~d map, and
all provisions of Parts II and III of Chapter 13 of the Code
of Ordinances of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, as prowded by
Ordinance No 61-19, shall hereafter apply to said property as
"A-2", Dwelling D~str~ct in the same manner as other property
located in the A-2 Dwelling D~str~ct
All that certain property s~tuated ~n the Clty q~ County of
Denton, Texas, being C~ty Lots 8, 9 and 10 of City Block 3022
the same being Lots 8, 9 and 10 of Block 10 of the Owsley Park
Addition to the C~ty of Denton as shown ~n volume 1, page 6 1/2
of the plat records of Denton County, Texas (Th~s property
located southwest corner Charlott and Avenue G )
SECTION II
That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby f~nds
that such change ~s ~n accordance with a comprehensive plan for the
purpose of promoting the general welfare of the C~ty of Denton, Texas,
and w~th reasonable consideration, among other things, for the character
of the d~strlct and for ~ts peculiar suitability or particular uses, and
with a v~ew to conserving the value of the buildings, protecting human
l~ves, and encouraging the most appropriate uses of land for the maximum
benefit to the C~ty of Denton and ~ts citizens
SECTION III
That this ordinance shall be ~n full force and effect ~mmed~ately
after ~ts passage and approval, the required public hearings hawng
heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning Commission and the C~ty
Council of the C~ty of Denton, after g~v~ng due not~ce thereof
