That the Code of Ordinances of the C~ty of Denton, Texas~
· s hereby amended by adding new Section 25-25 to Chapter 25 of
sa~d Code which Section shall hereafter read as follows
Section 25-25 All-Electr~c Residence Allowance
(a) ~ All-Electric Residence shall be classified as
one which utll~z~es only electricity for general
purpose heatlng~ coollng~ water heat~ng~ cooklng~ etc
(b) The owner or owners of an All-Electr~c Residence
will be rel~ursed by the C~ty a sum of money equal
to ten cents (10¢) for each square foot of living
space within such residence upon completion thereof
SECTION II
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances ~n force when
the provisions of th~s ordinance become effective which are
inconsistent or in conflict with the terms or provisions con-
tanned ~n th~s ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of
any such uonfl~ct
SECTION III.
That if any sect~on~ subsect~on~ paragraph~ sentence clause~
phrase~ or word in this ordlnance~ or application thereof to any
person or circumstances, is held invalid by any court of com-
petent jurisdiction, such hold shall not affect the validity of
the re~lnlng portions of this ordlnance~ and the City Council
of the City of Denton hereby declares ~t would have enacted such
remaining portion or port~ons despite any such ~nval~d~ty
SECTION IV
That th~s ordinance shall become effective fourteen (14)
days from the date of its passage~ and the C~ty Secretary
hereby directed to cause the caption of this ordinance to be
published twice ~n the Denton Record-Chron~cle~ the official
newspaper of the City of Denton~ Texas~ w~th~n ten (10) days
of the date of ~ts passage
