TEXAS~ BY ORDINANCE NO 61-19~ AND AS SAME MAP APPLIES TO CER-
TAIN PROPERTY KNOWN AS 24 859ACRES SITUTATED NORTH OF AUBURN
STREET AS SHOWN ON THE OFFICIAL CITY MAP OF THE CITY OF DENTON~
TEXAS~ AND MORE PARTICULAP~LY DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND DECLARING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON~ TEXAS~ HEREBY ORDAINS
~ECTION I
That the Zonzng Map of the City of Denton, Texas, 1961,
adopted as a Part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13, of the
Code of Ordznances of the Cmty of Denton, Texas~ under pro-
vmsmons of Ordmnance No 61-19, and the same is hereby amend-
ed as follows
All the hereznafter descrmbed property ms hereby removed
from the "R" - Dwellmng Dmstrmct as shown on samd map,
and all provmszons of Parts II and III of Chapter 13 of
the Code of Ordmnances of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, as
provmded by Ordmnance No 61-19, shall hereafter apply
to samd property as "D" - Dwellzng Dmstr~ct mn the same
manner as other property located zn the "D" - Dwelling
D~str~ct,
All that certamn lot, tract or parcel of land smtuated
mn the Cmty and County of Denton, Texas, known as bemng
the 24 859 acres situated north of Auburn Street, west
of the dedmcated park smte and a northerly extensmon
of Bowlmng Green Street, south of the dedmcated school
smte, and east of the western P property lmne for the
Down Development Corporatmon
SECTION II
That the Czty Councml of the Cmty of Denton, Texas, hereby
fmnds that such change as an accordance wmth a comprehenszve
plan for the purpose of promotang the general welfare of the
C~ty of Denton, Texas, and wmth reasonable consmderatmon, among
other things, for the character of the dmstrmct and for mts
peculiar sumtabml~ty or partmcular uses, and w~th a vmew to
conservmng the value of the bumldmngs, protecting human laves,
and'encouragmng the most appropriate uses of land for the
maxzmum benefat to the C~ty of Denton and ~ts cmtmzens
SECTION III
That thms ordanance shall be an full force and effect
mmmedaately after mrs passage and approval, the requared public
hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and
Zoning Commlss~on and the City Council of the C~ty of Denton~
Texas~ after giving due notice thereof
