1968-001 AN ORDINANCE AMEEDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY
OF DENTON~ TEXAS~ 1961~ AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS
~ PART OF PARTS II AND III OF cHAPTER 13 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON~ TEXAS~
BY ORDINANCE NO 61-19~ AND AS SAME MAP APPLIES
TO CERTAIN PROPERTY KNOWN AS LOT 19~ BLOCK 432
AS SHOWN ON THE OFFICIAL CITY MAP OF THE CITY OF
DENTON~ TEXAS~ AND MORE pARTICULARLY DESCP~IBED
HEREIN, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
THE COUNCIL OF THE cITY OF DENTON~ TEXAS~ HEREBY ORDAINS
~ECTION I.
That the Zoning Map of the City of Denton~ Texas~ 1961~
adopted as a Part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13~ of the
Code!of Ordinances of the City of Denton~ Texas~ under pro-
visions of Ordinance No 61-19~be~ and the same ~s hereby
amended as follows
Ail the herelnafter descrlbed property ~s hereby re-
moved from the "D" - Dwelling D~str~ct as shown on said
map~ and all provisions of Parts II and III of Chapter
13 of the Code of Ordinances of the C~ty of Denton~
Texas~ as provlded by Ordinance No 61-19~ shall here-
after apply to said property as "A-2" - Dwelling
Dlstr~ct ~n the same manner as other property located
in the "A-2" - Dwelllng D~str~ct,
The eastern 91 feet of that certain lot~ tract or
parcel of land situated in the C~ty and County of
Denton~ Texas~ known as C1ty Lot 19~ C~ty Block 432
as shown on the official plat of the City on flle
in the Tax Assessor-Collectors office and more part-
icularly described as being located on the northeast
corner of Carroll and Congress Street
SECTION II
That the C~ty Council of the C~ty of Denton~ Texas~ here-
by /finds that such change is in accordance w~th a comprehenslve
plah for the purpose of promoting the general welfare of the
C1ty of Denton~ Texas~ and with reasonable cons~derat~on~ among
other things~ for the character of the d~str~ct and for ~ts
peculiar suitability or particular uses~ and w~th a v~ew to
conserving the value of the bulld~ngs~ protecting human llves~
and encouraging the most appropriate uses of land for the
maximum benefit to the C~ty of Denton and its citizens
That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
~mmed,lately after its passage and approval~ the required
public hearings hav~ng heretofore been held by the Planning
and Zoning Comm~sslon and the C~ty Council of the City of
Denton~ Texas~ after g~v~ng due notice thereof
