AN ORDINANCE ADDING A STREET PORTION TO THE ORDINANCE GRANT-
ING NORTH TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY JURISDICTION AND CONTROL OF
THE PARKING LANES WITHIN CERTAIN STREET PORTIONS ABUTTING PRO-
PERTY OWNED BY IT
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXA~, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That Section II of Ordinance No 70-27, passed and approv-
ed the 25th day of August, 1970, be amended by adding the follow-
lng street portion to sa~d Ordinance, which shall be in addition
to those listed therein, to-wit
Chestnut Street, north side, from Avenue A
to Welch Street
And all portions, terms and conditions of said Ordinance No
70-27 shall be undisturbed hereby, and shall apply to and include
the a~ove described street portion the same as ~f said port~on
were originally described in the first paragraph of Section II
therein
SECTION II
That if any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause,
phrase or word ~n this ordinance, or application thereof to any
person or c~rcumstances is held ~nvalld by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the
remalhing portions of this ordinance, and the City Council of the
City of Denton, Texas, hereby declares it would have enacted such
remaining portions despite any such invalidity
SECTION III
That this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its
passage and approval, and the City Secretary is hereby d~rected
to ca~se the caption hereof to be published one time in the Denton
Record-Chronicle within ten (10) days of the date of Its passage
