ORDINANCE DIRECTING IHE ISSUANCE OF NOTICE
OF SALE OF GENERAL OBLIGAfION BONDS
WI~EREAS, the City Counczl of the City of Denton, Texas,
deems it necessary and advisable that the bonds hereinafter describ-
ed be authorized, issued, sold, and delzvered as soon as practzcable
THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY Of DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
Section 1 That the City Council of the City of Denton
Texas shall receive and consider sealed blds, at a duly advertised
public sale, for an issue of City of Denton General Obligation
Bonds, Series 1968, dated February 1, 1968, in the principal amount
of $1,000,000, at a Regular Meeting of the City Council to be held
in the Municipal Bulldlng ~n the Czty of Denton, Texas, at 8 00
o'clock, p m on January 23, 1968
Section 2 That the City's Director of Finance and the
City Secretary shall proceed immediately wlth the preparation of
an appropriate notice of sale in connection with said bonds, and
sa~d notice of sale shall be published once zn The Bond Buyer,
New York, New York, which zs a natzonal publzcatlon regularly
and primarily carrying financlal news and munzclpal bond sale
notices, and said notice of sale also shall be published once in
the "Denton Chronicle", which has been designated as the official
newspaper of the City of Dentom Sa~d publications shall be made
at least thirty days prior to the day set for receiving bids

and all of said persons were present, except the followzng

thus constztuting a quorum Whereupon, among other buszness, the
followzng was transacted at sazd Meetzng a wrztten ORDINANCE
DIRECTING THE ISSUANCE OF NOTICE OF SALE OF GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS

read in full It was then duly moved and seconded that sazd Or~
dznance be passed, and, after due dzscusszon, sazd motion, carryzng
wzth zt the passage of sazd Ordznance, prevazled and carrzed by the
followzng vote

dinance passed at the Meeting descrzbed zn the above and foregozng
paragraph is attached to and follows th~s Certzfzcate, that sazd
Ordznance has been duly recorded zn sazd Czty Council's mznutes of
eazd Meetzng, that the above and foregozng paragzaph zs a true, full,
and correct excerpt from sazd Czty Counczl's mznutes of sazd Meetzng
pertaining to the passage of said Ordznance, that the persons named
in the above and foregozng paragraph are the duly chosen, qualzfzed,
and acting officers and members of sazd Czty Counczl as indzcated
therezn, and that each of the offzcers and members of sazd Czty
Council was duly and suffzczently notzfzed off~czally and personally,
in advance, of the tzme, place, and purpose of the aforesazd Meetzng,
and that sazd Ordznance would be zntroduced and conszdered for passage
at said Meetzng, and each of sazd offzcers and members consented, in
advance, to the holding of sazd Meetzng for such purpose, and that

the aforesazd Ordinance, that the Mayor and the Czty Secretary of sazd
City have duly szgned said Ordznance, and that the Mayor and the Czty
Secretary of sazd City hereby declare that their szgnzng of thzs Cer-
tzfzcate shall constitute the szgnzng of the attached and followzng
copy of said Ordznance for all purposes
