AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF DEN?ON TEXAS
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1 1967 AND ENDING ON
BEPTE~V[BER 30, 1968, LEVYING TAXES FOR THE YEAR 196Y TO BE ASSESSED
ON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF DE~TON,
TEXAS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, notice of a pubho heamng on the budget for the City of Denton
Texas, for the fiscal year 1967-68 was heretofore pubhshedat least 15 days
~n advance of sa~d hearing, end
WHEREAS, as pubhc heanng on the said budget was duly held and all ~nterested
persons were given an opportumty to be heard for or against any item thereo~,
now therefore,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION 1
That the budget for the City of Denton, Texas, for the f~scal year beg~nmng
on October 1, 1967, and ending on September 30, 1968, ~nwords and f~gures
as shown therein is f~nally approved and adopted
SECTION 2
That there shall be, and there is hereby lev~ed, the following taxes on each
one hundred dollar ($100 00) valuation on all taxable property w~thln the City
of Denton, Texas, to be assessed and collected by the Tax Assessor and
Collector for the year 1967 and sa~d taxes are to be assessed and collected
for the purposes hereinafter stipulated as follows, to w~t
(a) For the general fund allocation on the $100 00 valuation $ 9525
(b) For the ~nterest and redemption funds on outstanding
bonded ~ndebtedness on the $100 00 valuation 5475
TOTAL ALLOCATION OF LEVY $1 50
SECTION 3
That the City Manager shall cause copies of the budget to be filed w~zn the
C~ty Secretary, the County Clerk of Denton County and the State Comptroller
of Pubhc Accounts
SECTION 4
That th~s ordinance shall be effective lmmedlatel~upon lts passage
