HELD APRIL 4, 1967, TO ELECT THREE CITY COUNCILMEN
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
1 That the Czty Council offzczally finds and determines
that an electaon was duly ordered to be held an the City of Denton
on the 4th day of Apral, 1967, for the purpose of electang three
(3) members to saad Councal, that proper not~ce of sa~d election
was duly given, that proper electaon offacers were duly appoanted
praor to saad electaon, that saad electaon was duly held, that
due returns of the result of saad electaon have been made and
delavered by Jewell Smath, the presadang Judge, and that the
C~ty Councal has duly canvassed saad returns, all ~n accordance
wath law
2 That the Caty Councal off~caally fands and determanes
that only resadent, qualafaed electors of saad Caty were allowed
to uote at saad elect~on, and the following votes were cast at
saad election for each candadate and wrate-~n, there being no
other person receavlng any votes at th~s electaon

proper number of votes to be elected, and that each of them ~s
elected to saad Caty Councal an accordance wath law

we, the undersigned, Mayor and City Secretary, respect-
1rely, of said City hereby certify as follows
1. That the attached and following is a true, full,
and correct copy of an Ordinance Canvassing Election Returns duly
passed by the City Council of said City at a ~peclal Meeting
held at the Regular Meeting Place on the /f~ day of April,
1967, which Ordinance has been duly recorded in the M~nutes of
said City Council
2. That the following are the members and officers of
said City Council

Howard Gentry Councilman
Dr Frank Camp Councilman

and all said persons were present at the time of passage of said
Ordinance except the following absentees
3. That said Ordinance was introduced for the consideration
of said City Council by 1ts presiding officer and read in full,
and upon motion duly made and seconded, said Ordinance was passed
by the following vote
AYES All Councilmen present voted "Aye"
NOES None
4 That each of the members and officers of said City
Council was duly and sufficiently notified officially and person-
ally, in advance, of the time, place, and purpose of the afore-
said Meeting, and that said Meetings, and each of said members
and officers consented, in advance, to the holding of said Meet-
lng for such purpose
5. That the Mayor of said City has approved, and hereby
approves, said Ordinance, that the Mayor and the City Secretary
of said City have duly signed said Ordinance, and that said
Mayor a~d City Secretary hereby declare that their signing of
this Certificate shall constitute the signing of the attached
and following copy of said Ordinance for all purposes
