1967-004 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 13 23 (C) (3), INCOR- PORATED AS APPENDIX "B" OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF DENTON,CLARIFYING THE EXCEPTIONS TO VEHICLE PARKING SPACE REQUIREMENTS BY DESCRIBING THE BLOCK FIFTY PER CENT (50%) OR MORE OF WHICH AREAS WERE OCCUPIED BY BUSINESS OR INDUSTRIAL STRUCTURES AT THE TIME OF PASSAGE OF PART II OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE PASSED AND APPROVED THE 25TH DAY OF JULY, A D 1961, PROV- IDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE ATE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS .SECTION I That Ordinance No 61-19 of the City of Denton, Texas, passed and approved the 25th day of July, A D 1961, origin- ally codified as Articles 13 10 through 13 29, ~nclus~ve, ~s hereby amended by substituting new Article 13 23 (c), sub- d~v~slon (3) an said Ordinance, which shall hereafter read as follows Article 13 23 - Off-Street parking and loading space requirements (c) Paving requirements, group parking areas, and exceptions (3) Vehicle parking space requirements and loading and unloading space requirements shall not apply to the following described blocks bound- ed by the followIng public streets BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Bolivar and East McK~nney Streets, THENCE east along East McKlnney to the intersection of East McK~nney and South Locust Streets THENCE north along South Locust to the ~ntersectlon of South Locust and Parkway Streets, THENCE east along Parkway to the ~ntersect~on of Parkway and Austin Streets, THENCE south along Austin to the ~ntersectlon of Austin and East Hickory Streets, THENCE east along East Hickory to the intersection of East Hickory and Exposition Streets, THENCE north along Exposition to the Intersection of Exposition and East Oak Streets, THENCE west along East Oak to the ~ntersect~on of East Oak and Frame Streets, -1- THENCE north along Frame to the intersection of Frame and East McKlnney Streets, THENCE west along East McKlnney to the intersection of East McK~nney and Blount Streets, THENCE south along Blount Street to the intersection of Blount and East Mulberry Streets, T~ENCE west along East Mulberry to the ~ntersect~on of East Mulberry and Austin Streets, THENCE south along Austin to the ~ntersectlon of Austin and East Sycamore Streets, THENCE west along East Sycamore to the intersection of East Sycamore and South Locust Streets THENCE north along South Locust to the Intersection of South Locust and East Mulberry Streets, THENCE west along Mulberry to the ~ntersectlon of Mulberry and South Elm Streets, THENCE north along South Elm to the intersection of South Elm and Walnut Streets, THENCE west along Walnut to the intersection of Walnut and Cedar Streets, THENCE north along Cedar to the ~ntersect~on of Cedar and West H~ekory Streets, THENCE west along West Hickory to the ~ntersectlon of West Hickory and P~ner Streets, THENCE north along Plner to the ~ntersectlon of Plner and West Oak Streets, THENCE east along West Oak to the ~ntersectlon of West Oak and Bolivar Streets THENCE north along Bolivar to the intersection of Bolivar and East McKlnney Streets, same being the place of beginning ALSO, that triangular block bounded by Eagle Drive, Myrtle and U S Highway 377 SECTION II The above descrIbed blocks are all s~tuated ~n the corporate l~m~ts of the C~ty of Denton, Texas, and f~fty per cent (50%) or more of the area of each block was occupied by bus~ness or lndus- trial structures at the tlme of passage of Ordinance No 61-19, the City's Zoning Ordlnance, and no other blocks of the City were so o~cup~ed at that tlme SECTION III.
