1966-044 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ZONING MAP OF THE CITY
OF DENTON, TEXAS, 1961, AS SAME WAS ADOPTED AS A
PART OF PARTS II AND III OF CHAPTER 13 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS,
BY ORDINANCE NO 61-19, AND AS SAME MAP APPLIES
TO PORTIONS OF CITY LOTS 1,2,3, AND 4 OF CITY
BLOCK 233-C OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, AND MORE
PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN, AND PROVIDING A
CONDITION TO SUCH CHANGE, AND DECLARING AN EFFEC-
TIVE DATE.
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS
SECTION I
That the Zonang Map of the Caty of Denton, Texas, 1961,
adopted as a Part of Parts II and III of Chapter 13, of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Denton, Texas, under pro-
visions of ordinance No 61-19, be, and the same as hereby
amended as follows
All the hereanafter descrabed property as hereby removed
from the "R" - Dwelling Dastrlct as shown on sa~d map,
and all provisaons of Parts II and III of Chapter 13 of
the Code of Ordanances of the Caty of Denton, Texas, as
provaded by Ordinance No 61-19, shall hereafter apply
to said property as "LI" - Light Industrial in the same
manner as other property located in the "LI" - Laght
Industrial D~strlct, provided that all this below des-
crabed property be used for clay manlng purposes only,
and no permanent structure or improvements shall be
constructed on thas property, and these provlsaons are a
condltaon to the enactment of this ordinance and must be
at all tames observed as the validity of th~s entire ord-
'lnance depends and is based upon this condition, and such
prOVlSaons are a reasonable exercise of the Police powers
of the City of Denton, Texas

City Block 233-C of the City of Denton, Texas,

THENCE east 740 feet
THENCE south 3376 feet,
THENCE west 1300 feet~
THENCE north 227 feet,
THENCE east 600 feet
THENCE north 1100 feet,
THENCE east 490 feet,
THENCE north 1500 feet,
THENCE west 1090 feet,
THENCE north 1329 feet to the place of beginning, being
56 8 acres more or less
SECOND TRACT
Beginning at the most westerly northwest corner of the
property owned by Alford McClaln, et al ad]olnlng Acme
Brick Company property in City Lot 4 of City Block 233-C
of the City of Denton, Texas,
THENCE east 208 feet,
THENCE south 104 feet,
THENCE west 208 feet,
THENCE north 104 feet to the place of beginning, being
5 acres of land, more or less
SECTION II.
That the City Council of the City of Denton, Texas, hereby
finds that such change and conditions are in accordance with a
comprehensive plan for the purpose of promoting the general
welfare of the City of Denton, and with the reasonable consider-
atlon, among other things, for the character of the district
and for its peculiar suitability or particular uses, and with
a vlew to conservmng the value of buildings, protecting human
lives, and encouraging the most appropriate uses of land for the
maximum benefit to the City of Denton and its citizens
SECTION III.
That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately after its passage and approval, the required public
hearings having heretofore been held by the Planning and Zoning
Con~mlssmon and the City Council, after giving due notice thereof
