1966-042 NO AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CODE OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, BY ADDING NEW SECTION 24-133 ENTITLED "PARKING OF VEHICLES OR STORAGE OF GOODS IN PARKWAYS PROHIBITED", PROVIDING A DEFINITION, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT, PROVIDING A PEN- ALTY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF DENTON, TEXAS, HEREBY ORDAINS SECTION I. That Chapter 24 of the Code of the City of Denton, as amended, be and is hereby, amended by add mng new Sectmon 24-133 to said Code whzch shall hereafter read as follows Sectmon 24-133 Parking of Vehmcles or Storage of Goods in Parkways Prohmbmted (a) For the purpose of thms sectlon, a "parkway" defmned to be any property which the C~ty of Denton by deed, dedmcatmon, gmft, prescrmptmon or easement owns or holds for publmc use and lymng between the prmvate pro- perty lmnes of property abuttmng on any public street and the curb lmne of the street (b) It shall be unlawful for any person to park any vehmcle or store any goods mn or upon any parkway, as above defmned, notwmthstandmng the location of any drmve ~ or drmveway mn such parkway SECTION II That the vmolatmon of any provmslon of thms ordmnance shall be punmshed by fmne of any amount not exceeding Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) and each vmolat~on thereof shall be and ms hereby declared to be a dmstmnct and separate offense and punmsh- able as such, each day of any such v~olatmon constmtut~ng a separate offense SECTION III. That all ordmnances or parts of ordmnances mn force when the provmsxons of thms ordinance become effectmve whmch are consmstent or in conflmot wmth the terms or provmsmons contamned · n thls ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
